There is rules about how fast they can drive. There is also different levels of police drivers which also affects how fast they can go.

Today we have decided to hand in our 30 days notice and break the lease where we live as we have been waiting six weeks to get a response from the maintenance people and/or owner about a leak in our bathroom. We have lost faith that things will get fixed; what would happen if we had a real emergency maintenance issue?

Yesterday i saw something and in hindsight it's actually made me think - WTF.

Basically i was walking to the Chinese at about 9pm, and these THREE cop cars flew past lights ablaze and i swear they must have been doing AT LEAST 70-80mph, they were seriously caning it to the point of me being shocked and amazed by how fast they were going. I cannot emphasise the speed enough. This was in a built up area where the limit is 30mph and there is always a fair amount of people about. But it made me wonder, what if they somehow hit someone or lost control at that speed? It was very wet here yesterday too. I mean why the hell should be police be allowed to drive THAT quickly in such an area? I appreciate that they obviously deal with emergencies, but what if something goes wrong? They aren't superstar drivers just cause they have had a bit of extra training.

Accidents have happened before and will happen again. 70 to 80mph in a 30mph zone is far too fast (unless they were trying to escape Godzilla, which they wern't 'cos if they were I'm sure that would have also got a mention).

The road conditions alone sounded totally unsuitable for those kinds of speeds in a built up area. Heck, it would have been dodgy in the daytime on a bone dry road in the same place! Maybe they were a bit too eager.

Today was the little ones birthday, so we went out for a meal because Nanny and Grampy did not want to go to the local soft play. So that is our mission for tomorrow.

I let off a time release fart at the end of this mornings toolbox talk nearly causing the supervisor to keel over! Naturally I blamed it on someone else and would have got away with it if I wasn't so honest. :fart::rofl:

Just thought I'd raise the tone of the thread. :D

In more ways than one.

It's wrong to blame other people though, you should be proud of something like that.
