Not far away now, just a matter of days. :) I think a bit of testing news has already been scattered around the forum, but we might as well keep it in one place.

I just read this:

Massa will drive the new Ferrari for the first three days at Jerez, which runs from February 5-8, with de la Rosa getting his maiden run for the Italian outfit on the final day.

Alonso meanwhile will use that week to work on his physical condition, before he drives the Ferrari for the first three days of the Barcelona test that runs from February 19. Massa will then drive on the final day of that week.

For the final test that runs at Barcelona from February 28 to March 3, Alonso and Massa will split the driving duties.

On Thursday (28) and Saturday (March 2) of that test, Massa will drive, while Alonso will do the other two days.

I find that really odd, why would they do that at the first test?

Maybe FM is supposed to test some odd bits that they just keep around in case they turn out promising? Then, FA will get the lion share of testing in a more finalized car later on.

I think Pedro hanging around will keep Massa focus'd next year

What? Hell, lets just put Badoer back in the car.

No idea why Ferrari are doing this anyway.

To you Brits, is this stuff generally broadcast by the BBC/SKY?

Nope.

:(:crying:

I don't think it is anywhere, they don't sell TV rights for it I think.

I think you are right. But I'm sure, remembering from last year, BBC and SkyF1 do online coverage in the form of text updates and video posts, but not live streaming.

I seem to remember Sky doing a couple of vid blogs on testing last year, that always ended up on youtube. Will be sure to post if any arise this time round :)

In some ways, these test days are the best to attend. It's really good value - I went to Barcelona and it was 15Euro for the whole day. You can go anywhere and its not crowded. Great for getting shots of the cars if that's your thing.

Here are a few links I've used in previous seasons that provide live timings/updates/feeds/blogs from the test days.

http://live.autosport.com/
http://www.msfree.gr click on the F1 - Live link, it used to point to this link http://www.msfree.gr/2012live.php but I suspect that will change at least to reflect 2013
http://f1tests.co.cc/
http://www.gpupdate.net/en/testcalendar ... -calendar/ I've changed last years link to 2013 and the link is there, right now it redirects you to the 2012 list, but I suspect that will change as the testing starts

ITV used to do a preview show which showed the odd bit of testing with the new cars, and that's all I can remember, with regards to the pre-season coverage.
