Even the 'extreme' weather here sucks. I was hoping for some good wintery weather after all the fuss on the news.

Yes, it was all blown way out of proportion. All this Met Office "severe weather warnings" and wot-not. Anti-climactic to say the least!

A couple of years ago we had a good winter, the met office had predicted it but the government covered it up so's not to cause any panic but because of that none of the local councils around the country were prepared and there was no salt. Around here they spread some sort of red grit that was like tiny sharp shards of stone which gave me several punctures on my bike.
The UK really is shi!e at dealing with anything like that and it looks like this time they've gone the other way.

What a coincidence...actually made a snowman today with my housemates. And the landlords dog kept taking one of his 'arms' away. A snow fight is fun though! Had only the 2nd snow fight in my life today as well.
