Yeah 2 drivers, neither of which will expect a no. 2 position is what you want. You can hold bets on how long until they take each other out or start playing silly beggers. Remember 2007?

Whichever team have the 2 drivers that will work the best as a team and move forward is the one with the best driver line-up.

2007? Wasn't it Turkey 2010?

You still are not properly reading what I wrote!

I have said all along, based on their form in the previous 2 seasons where RBR they struggled.

I've explained my point as clearly as I can. If you don't understand that, it is not my problem. Move on, accept that we are not going to agree and go play with someone else.

I guess it's what one considers most of the season. Round 4 on they led the WCC...
And really go play with someone else? What are you on about? This is a forum, if you don't want people to question your posts then don't post! :banghead:

:hehe: if that's what you say. then winning isn't actually a requirement in your world to have the best driver lineup is it?

anyway, I voted RBR simply because Webber is at least tried and battle hardened. It's already been said but depending on which Felipe shows up next year, it could very well be Ferrari.

For me it's about the two drivers not taking points off each other. Webber is a pretty good no. 2 and that has really helped RBR.

 ...and on the first page you said McLaren. There's no point reasoning with someone like this, who changes his mind every 10 minutes and doesn't even understand the topic of the thread.

Lewis Hamilton's 2013 car, the Mercedes AMG W04, will resemble a Red Bull. It features an ultra-small gearbox and has passed its crash tests. The team need to improve by three seconds to race at the front and half that margin has already been closed, if the wind tunnel figures are correct

The Mercedes (team) has homologated the chassis of the AMG W04 after it successfully passed the crash tests. At Brackley they are working very hard to give Lewis Hamilton a machine that is capable of winning the Grand Prix next year, after the success of the GP Nico Rosberg in China this year. The monocoque has been revised by Aldo Costa who is the chief designer: This will be the former Ferrari-man his first car, since he’d arrived at the three-pointed star at the beginning of 2012, when the F1 W03 had already been completed. Engineers in Brackley are counting on (these changes) to reduce the gap to Red Bull Racing and rumors that come out is that, the new car will be much more similar to the RB8 which won the world championship with Sebastian Vettel. The system that stalls the front wing is out (it was banned by the FIA), the Mercedes team are developing an exciting new ultra-compact transmission that should allow to create a lot of rear downforce, freeing the area to the rear diffuser and to the possible system for the passive stall the rear wing (DRD).Aldo Costa is also reviewing the suspension: according to rumors front and the back pull-rod suspension will be adopted (the first is copied from Ferrari, while the second will be inspired by Red Bull Racing). At the rear they are studying setups that can be used to easily modified during the season depending on the behavior of the new Pirelli tires. And aerodynamically much care has been taken in the exhaust gasses with the Coanda effect and will be easy to find the influences of RB8. In the racing division of Brackley is a complete transformation of the structure to speed up the development and deployment of machine packages evolution. What we think the AMGW04 might look like in comparison to the F1 W03Closer attention for an ultra tight rear-endAMG W04 will be Aldo Costa’s first car since leaving Ferrari

Button has started following Alonso on Twitter now!

Nope, can't remember team mates taking each other out then......now at Turkey 2010 I'm sure I saw it happen. Bit of a to do over front wings at the British as well.

Really? When did this happen in 2007? Are you color blind per chance? These are Redbulls, not McLarens. We were talking about "taking each other out or start playing silly beggars" remember? By your own words.

Think he's talking about Hungary '07, where both drivers were acting up in quali which led to Alonso's dumb waiting move, which arguably cost him the title. If both drivers had just stuck to the right team operation that day maybe McLaren would have won the drivers title that year (but the didn't! :D )... But on the other hand, imo more damage was done at Turkey in 2010 - in terms of points lost from a single incident. From a 1-2 to a 3-DNF. How very stupid on both counts!

I'm not talking about red Bull. That was a one off incident. I was (as Scotty correctly points out) speaking about McLaren in 2007 where there was a bit of silly beggers being played. What was, on paper, potentially a reasonably strong driver pairing turned out to be a total shambles leading to points and championships being lost.
#341340
Championships being lost?

Mclaren didn't lose out on the constructors championship fight due to the driver pairing shambles.

Actually they did. If Lewis wasn't a threat to Alonso, the latter wouldn't have whined and whinged his way to blackmailing the entire team and screwing them over. Everything was cool until McLaren denied Whingeboy No.1 status, from when he became a complete p&&ck and played a big part in bringing all the skeletons out of the closet which lead to the DSQ.
