Where have you been Denthul?

Locked away in DD's dungeon. :crying:

NOT TRUE!
You were here voluntarily - nobody held you back, but you liked it anyway :whip:

You said you wouldn't tell. :(

You forced my hand with your implication :hehe:

Is this the sort of s*** this board is going to be filled with for the next 3 months....?

Unless we can come up with anything better

I'm an optimist and even I  on that. Maybe the holidays will distract us for a bit?

Mercedes does at least have a strong GT1 program.

He did quite a bit more for Mercedes than F1, but given the impact to the F1 team I think this thread will continue the discussion long past the short term news.

It does look as though Mercedes have been working on next years car for quite some time.
Aldo Costa has redesigned the monocoque(he arrived too late to have input on the 2012 car)
An ultra compact transmission that could produce extra downforce by freeing the area around the rear defuser and maybe passively stalling the rear wing .
A review of the suspension with possible pull rod systems like Ferrari at the front and like theRed Bull at the back.
They are studying rear set ups that can easily be adapted to suit the behaviour of the new pirelli's
Aerodynamically they are moving towards the Red bull with lots of thought going into the coanda and use of hot gasses.
The racing devision at Brackly has been completely transformed( as Brawn has been saying )to speed up development.

I wasn't particularly bothered about last year. It's a whole different team of engineers now working in a different way. So whatever that did last year is pretty irrelevant
