Any criticism directed towards Ferrari is almost always deserved.

I don't usually grace platitudes like above with a more substantial reply

No poo what a farce!

"Hey 'Little Suzy' you were found to be in possesion of 'Girl Scout's cookie's' how do you plead? "Well sir it is a fact we were found to be in 'breach' of the rule's by possessing another competitor's cookies but we would like to place the blame on our distributor basically because we are jealous so really we have done nothing wrong :? "! "Oh and if we may we would like to incessantly put no fault upon ourselve's as we have a scapegoat for all of our misdeed's which would be our distributor ie the FIA".

So you actually changed teams hey? Gee some loyal supporter you were. I prophersized this theory, one that is very skeptical and perhaps not even fully true. But even if it were I would NEVER change teams and I say NEVER. I am all Ferrari until the end. If my theory were true in a way I don't care because it suits me I guess. Why complain. I would take a win when given anytime. I am proud to be a Ferrari Tifosa, always have and always will. :D

I agree with W2G here. He abandoned his team because he felt that his loyalty was betrayed.
Its that kind of moral stance that should be adopted by more in the F1 business, and certainly the FIA. Blind loyalty is very mis-guided - there has to be limits. Well done W2G

A very much simplified version of events with its "facts" chosen with the utmost care.

Flattery will get you everywhere  but do not be disheartened as I have acquired a soft spot for your sarcasm so maybe 'second base' .

Ferrari had been dominating F1 for the past few years and McLaren were on a dry spell all along. The shareholders were getting itchy and the only way for McLaren to win the championship was if they beat their no.1 nemesis who happen to be Ferrari.

Rather than beat them the hard way (on the track) they choose to make some dodgy connections with a disgruntled "English" employee. Real dumb

I don't care if Ferrari set them up but if they were too stupid to have that manual being circulated around the garage and senior managers being aware that it exist they totally deserve being played.

Oh yeah which will be why they 'nicked' stuff when their championship winning car was already complete and beating Ferrari
For 'nicked' read 'was given by Ferrari':roll:

They had the manual at the first Australian GP of 2007!

Why do you think they complained to FIA that Ferrari have a flexi-floor?

I agree with Max M when he said people will look back 10yrs from now and realize that Mclaren got off with a slap on the wrist.

I'm not religious, so this metaphor doesn't apply to me.

well dont worship Schumi and Ferrari in a religious manner then

That's like asking YOU not to worship McLaren in the religious manner that you do bud? You see it's all about perception and we are talking about the tifosiNOT the FIA so please dont try to turn this into another one of those battle's?

ferrari brigade sticking up for each other eh, i WAS talking to darwin you know. how rude of you!
Im not talking about me tex YES i am passionate about McLaren i dont deny that, yet Darwin isnt a fan of ferrari supposidly yet in the 8 years of posting toghter he has always stood up for ferrari and it was a given he was a schumacher fan but in his retirement with claims of liking bmwsauber it is still very apparent darwin that you are a Ferrari lamb deep down :lol:

Hey friend I am a Ferrari Tifosa. I only wrote what I wrote as I felt it may be true. The reality is I don't really care. If Ferrari wins then I am happy. If I were the boss at Ferrari I would implement this theory if I could as well. (If it were the only way to win when a win were needed, ie 60th anniversary.) I thought it up as I guess in a way I think alike (to whoever decided to do this if even real), Bottom line is, Ferrari are current champs and I am happy and I don't really care about the rest as it is all history now anyway.

Each to there own AKR, but I disagree with you being happy with the win at ALL cost philosophy.
Whenever you make statements like this could you please add that it’s your personal opinion & not representative of ALL Ferrari supporters.

But what i do find is that Ferrari took advantage of what had happened, they themselves had no evidence that McLaren had used it but went out making claims that they did and putting the FIA up to investigating McLaren (while they did nothing in regards to the FIA when Toyota had used Ferrari information previously) all this came to the fore front just after Monte Carlo when McLaren won by over 1 minute to Ferrari. Coincidence na just deliberate manipulation of the situtation to favour themselves off track.

Yes BUD your right they did not have evidence early on & they were a dog with a bone in there pursuit of McLaren.
BUT the fat lady sang in the end didn’t it. McLaren were as guilty as sin so I would say their dogged pursuit is justified wouldn’t you?
You keep on bringing up the Toyota think which have some similarities except 2 major ones. 1. The amount of sensitive information which was involved. 2. The calibre of the opposition involved. (would you waste much time and effort on a no threat, Don’t think so)

and the saddest part about this is Ferrari arent shy about winning the 2007 constructors title the way they did, they have on the engine intake of the F2008 the contructor title emblem...

I don’t like that they were given the title either & to me it does tarnish the title a bit but I sure as hell think they deserved it more than McLaren from what has transpired.
So on your train of thought if McLaren pulled off the cool fuel protest stunt Hammy should not have been considered the WDC either ?

I understand, but I didn't like supporting a team who I knew were always bending the rules and spoiling the show by pulling off stunts like Austria '02 and Indy 04. I still supported them through '01 because I enjoyed them winning, but in theend, I support certain teams, but I'm not really bothered who wins, as long as they haven't employed dubious tactics to do so.

Believe it or not Alonso was my favourite driver before last season, that was the only reason why I wanted McLaren to win last year. Then he started pulling his cry-baby act and it really disappointed me because I near-enough worshipped him for two years. So now I don't really want him to do well.

But, like I say, I never really liked McLaren either, but they had some drivers that I liked (Coulthard, Hakkinen, Hamilton, Alonso) and are less arrogant and less corrupt than Ferrari.
