This has to be discussed,it's the thing I wonder mostly!I'm not 100% percent about Perez,so is McLaren.

Button says he doesn't expect a success from Perez,he is the "leader" driver now, will help Perez about the car and the team.Whereas Perez thinks he is ready for his first title.
I also saw an interview which Whitmarsh admitted they don't really know about Perez's situation (which means they can't rely on him as they did for Lewis)

An interesting season is waiting for us on McLaren side. What do you think?

I think poles won't come as easily for McLaren next year. The rest remains to be seen.

I think some of the drives Sergio has produced over the past season show he has a good deal of talent. Dragging a Sauber up to 2nd twice is clear proof of his high capability. His driving style does seem similar to that of Jenson, so it'll be interesting to see how the two compare.

My only concern is the mistakes that seemed to pepper Sergio's late season performances, which will have to be ironed out early next season, if he's to rise to the top. I'm looking forward to it, and I have my fingers crossed that the Jenson V Sergio battle will be played out at the front.

I am not sure if it is he is trying too hard to show the world he deserved a drive with Mclaren, or he was thinking "feck it lets see what happens if I try this" Crash.... Oh will not try that again.

He was not really been a "crasher" in other formulas

I don't know how he will do; I wouldn't like to guess, we saw the best and worse of Sergio Perez during 2012, having speed in a midfield car doesn't guarantee speed in a top car, we'll wait and see!

Perez didn't really humiliate Kobayashi this year...so if Perez manages to make Button sweat next year (which I think he definitely will) it will just show what a big loss it had been with Kobayashi.

I hope he does well. It'll give north america something to cheer about

*cough*Mexico*cough* :hehe:

There are 11 or 12 million undocumented Mexicans living in the US. Just the undocumented, that's from the social aspect, the geographic aspect of it, Mejico is on the North American continental plate.

Austin was practically his home GP!

So the Americans are claiming Mexico now? :hehe:

Bit like the UK and nearly every eastern European country. Masses of people from those parts here illegally.

It's debatable who claims whom, Mexico has probably better claims on vast stretches of the US then the other way around - so while at it, please Mexico, take Texas!!!

This is true for much of the south west, but id say like all New World countries, the natives would have better claims than Mexicans. :P Even if you take into account Mexicans are somewhat a mix of Native and Europeans.

As for Sergio Vs Jenson, dunno Perez is an unknown. Could be blisteringly fast or could fail.

While I think that McLarens 2012 car was the best in terms of pace (reliability not so much) Jenson was too hit or miss with set up, while Lewis was pretty good at getting the car to be fast the majority of races. Im worried that we'll see both mclarens at the top or both at the rear with no real in between.

That and lax border controls, particularly at Calais.
