Back on topic; I believe I said this at the start of this thread; Lewis is the FASTER driver; but Jenson collects similar amount of points throughout the season with his 'cruise and collect' style of driving. Maybe Lewis' driving style is what breaks the car more often than Jenson; I don't believe it's McLaren screwing over Lewis nor do I believe that it's just bad luck. The McLaren seems to be fragile so therefore Lewis' driving style could be a reason why the car breaks more often than Jenson's car. This is just speculation of course, there is no way any of us could possibly know!

I definitely don't think its a case of McLaren screwing Lewis over. Bad luck, incompetence and unreliability. Lewis' s driving? I see no evidence for that, until this year he's had very few mechanical failures, so that doesn't hold up. And as for Jenson cruising and collecting, I don't think he does. There have been too many races where he's been too far off Lewis' pace for a cruise and collect driver. Had Lewis not had such abysmal bad luck this year, Jenson would have looked very bad indeed.

If this is indeed the case, do you think the engineers/Mclaren might tell Lewis it is his fault...its his driving which broke the fuel pump in Abu Dhabi, and the electronics glitch in Singapore, and the pit crews screwing up, and the fuel regulator not working properly...and its also his fault Hulkenberg crashed into him.

I heard this rubbish so many times when Kimi was suffering reliability in 2005 due to engine issues...and Alonso fans were talking about Kimi blowing up Merc engines due to his driving style, Mika Hakkinen was supposed to break engines more than DC because he was simply faster as well.....well it seems all the top drivers in McLaren seem to be just breaking their cars for some reason.
