I found out that Hemingway was an Absinthe drinker.

So am I, but my novels are much more lascivious :whip::twisted:

WILL CONTAIN RACE SPOILER DO NOT READ.

I am fecking fuming... to the point of I went nuts in a public place because of it.

SWMBO has a medical condition that means that we have to go to the hospital at random times. (it is not serious or anything just a glitch)
So anyway during the race today at lap 40 to be exact it happened (I apologize now to the people in chat that I suddenly disappeared.)
So off to the hospital we go, sat in the A&E waiting to see the doc when the TV that is showing BBC News is on starts showing the F1 results. So I say to SWMBO Don't tell me anything I don't want to know about the Grand Prix,
So she says how far into the race did you see? Lap 40 I say.
Then she says "OH So Vettel won the championship then."
It was followed by a lot of very loud names and swear word.. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I read an interesting article today in local newspaper. It's about 3 persons, 3 sportsmen of the same age that are ruling the world in their sports. Interesting thing is that they are all born in 42 days difference. It was about Messi, Djokovic and Vettel. It's also interesting that, for the 3-rd straight year, these 3 guys will be in the tight competition for the best world's sportsmen of the year (last year won by Djokovic, in front of Vettel and Messi). They are all 25 years old and on top of their form. Messi scores over 2 goals per game, average, Djokovic wins everywhere and everything, Vettel won the 3-rd consecutive title in Formula 1. All 3 of them are already holders of many records and one can only wonder what lies in the future... I can only say: Keep doing the great job, boys. You are all truly in your own league.:clap::clap:

I never understood classifying a driver as an athlete. Yes you have to be fit to a degree, but your performance as a driver remains first and foremost tied to the car you're sitting in. If it went by athleticism, Jeson or Webber would be the dominant drivers and Montoya wouldn't have a career... hell, most of the drivers from the 50's 60's 70's 80's even into the early 90's were pretty damned "unfit" compared to today's expectations yet they were doing the very same job.

Well, there are also sports that are way easier than F1, but they classify them as athletes too. For instance, that silly rich-men stupid game called golf. :hehe:

I'll never make the kind of money that would allow me to play his course, besides it's closed for the winter!

Knowing the kind of underhand bullying tatics he used at Balmedie I would never play his course. I'd much rather get a tractor and tear up the course and return it to what it should be - an SSSI!

The 9 hole council owned course at Hazlehead is more my style, though it has been a couple of years.

The cops came not a moment too soon.

Racquel Gonzalez, 24, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, 30-year-old Esric Davis, when he had an orgasm and she did not, according to a police report obtained by the Smoking Gun.

The Manatee County, Fla. couple were having umpalumpa on Monday afternoon, Davis told deputies, and after he climaxed, Gonzalez got angry and started scratching and hitting him.

The police report states that Davis had scratches near his eye and nose. Davis also told investigators that Gonzalez has issues from her past and "goes off" on him frequently.

Gonzalez, who the report states was uncooperative and belligerent during her arrest, was charged with felony domestic battery.

Always always always finish the job. :hehe:
