To hell with, it seems a good idea just allow anything to go.

My ideal Formula One series would be one with a more accountable FIA that is relatively free from politics. Sadly, controlling the commercial side of the sport is not as easy as controlling the sporting side. All we could do there is hope there is some humanity and love for the sport shown in the decision-making process, i.e. not getting rid of certain Grands Prix which should almost be sacrosanct.

My calendar would consist of, in no particular order:

Britain (Silverstone), France (anywhere but Magny-Cours), Germany (Nürburgring), Spain (Jerez) Portugal (Estoril), Italy (Monza), US (Phoenix), Brazil (Interlagos), South Africa (Kyalami), Australia (Adelaide), Japan (Suzuka), Canada (Giles Villeneuve), Monaco (Monte Carlo), Argentina (Buenos Aires Circuit), Sweden (Scandinavian Raceway), Bahrain (Bahrain International Circuit), Belgium (Spa), Hungary (Hungaroring).

That way we cover most places (the likes of China, Russia and Turkey can join when they clean up the atrocities that happen in their countries) and we will have good tracks.

I would also like to see certain teams back. Teams like Lotus, Tyrell, Jordan, Minardi, Cooper. That way we would have some classics marques alongside some of the newer teams like BMW and Red Bull.

I know, that's one reason why I didn't put the Grands Prix in order. I'd be there all day!

I heard that bernie ecclestone is moaning about having too many races and trying to limit the number to 18 per season . it wouldn't be a problem if he was not trying to get half a dozen races in the far east a season . and i would like to see the san marino grand prix back and about 25 races a season with early 90s races for instance . i liked south africa , pheonix (even though it was a long race) , mexico , donnington etc.

I'd agree with you Ferrari man, its endless tbh with Bernie. HE would cut down the calendar, but get rid of most of the european races inplace for other "boring" street circuit night races :P

I mean it's for his company's benefit. I did read a little while in Autosport that it may backfire. I mean take Toyota for example, they only entered F1 to appeal to the European Market, and if European Races begin to get cut... they would need to review their envolvement

why dont they do a night race where it would be wanted for egzample australlia . i have an idea that bernie would like , move to adelaide and have a night race.

We only used to have about 16 races in a season and it was not a problem. What we are going to have now is some good European-based Grand Prix get the axe in favour of keeping the bland, boring and characterless Asian tracks. The fact the Australian Grand Prix is on its way out will certainly help Ecclestone in his Formula One demolition job.

He has something like £2,420 million, so that's what? Just under $5,000 million for you guys in the States. Like I say, he doesn't need to complain over losing £10 million a year. It's just being plain stingy. There is no doubt that Ecclestone has brought Formula One to the heights it's at now, but he's now starting to bring the sport down (along with Mosley). It's time to go.
