I am just pissed off that Vettel never got a penalty for at least one incident...I mean, with the yellow flags, what about when he pushed Kaumi off the track? Left him no room? But I suppose that's not a penalty matter anymore. I mean with Hamilton vs Maldonado at Valencia...But I loved the drama in the race, I screamed for joy when Vettel spun on lap one...

It's good to see detailed coverage and analysis to see what actually happened. But, if you want to watch F1, you've got to accept that sh*t happens, and very frequently. I don't think that there was a particular conspiracy to ignore the infractions and give Vettel the championship, I think the stewards didn't want to be seen to be influencing the outcome of the championship, even rightfully so, as that would be extremely bad publicity.

At least it means that there is yet another example to show those morons who claim that there's some sort of conspiracy among the FIA and stewards to benefit Ferrari. Not that it will stop them, but at least we can roll our eyes at their stupidity with even more justification :)

This has been explained by the stewards to be a Yellow and Orange slippery flag, therefore the pass was legal.

On the race, well it was unbelievable, how did Vettel survive that bang with Senna at T4 (for which I blame Vettel for cutting Senna up), then an unbelievable drive by Hulkenburg until he spun into Lewis. To me that was a racing incident, there were backmarkers and Hulkenburg spun, think his penalty was harsh.

Alonso did all he could as he did all season, but 2nd wasn't enough unfortunately, but it was a miracle he was even in the championship in the final race, a valiant effort.

Button ended the season as he started it with a great win, but next season he and McLaren might want to improve performances in the 17 races in between

And a note to Caterham, great result from Petrov for 11th and reclaiming their rightful 10th position, it might just have saved Hekki's career too!

Have a look at the Alain McNish explanation above. There is a yellow and orange slippery flag, but there are also clear flashing yellow lights as well. There is also a green flashing light on the way, but Vettel passes under a flashing yellow light later on the track. Where the pass took place was well after the yellow and orange slippery flag.

I'm not fussed about this because it's the kind of thing that happens. But after looking at the detailed footage, there's absolutely no doubt that the pass was under yellows.

Apparently the ones that looked yellow AFTER the green light before the tight left hander were Yellow/Orange, it just looked Yellow from the cameras according to the stewards.

Vettel should have had a drive through for the Senna incident though, that was worse than Hulkenburg's!

You've just linked to the same Alain McNish footage that I linked to. There is the additional claim from the stewards that it was yellow/orange, but the yellow/orange flag shown in the footage "that Pat Fry was talking about" looks very different, and the camera is good enough to distinguish them.

From the on-board footage it looks as if Vettel is taking a normal line and Senna went for a gap that wasn't there. If anythign Senna was a bit over eager but given the track conditions and a pretty hectic start I think it is fair to call it a racing incident.

Sorry, but Vettel swept right across the track while Senna was alongside him, the new rule this season says if a car is alongside you have to leave space, Vettel didnt!
