This means McLaren are yet to replace Vodaphone with an equally big brand sponsor. Lucozade who turn over around 400m are not really in that league, Glaxo their parent obviously doesnt equate the cartoon F1 team with Viagra etc

I wonder what adverts the car will have next year as this year at some races the most prominent was Maximuscle

If/when Vodaphone and/or Santander go, I wonder how the cartoon F1 team will balance their books as they will also have to pay for engines, maybe the staff at Woking will start learning Mexican

Burn?!? Never heard of it.....?

Me neither:

Burn is a Swedish high sugar, high caffeine content energy drink with a citrus flavor that comes in a 8.3 (250 ml) or 16.9 oz (500 ml) can. The drink is distributed in several countries by The Coca-Cola Company.

So thats why Ive never heard of it, because its not officially distributed in the UK. I'll buy some next time Im over in Sweden.

I think thats why he used the word WAS

Tooned didnt start till mid season, so before that it was just Lucozade

Could be? I'll be honest, I never pay much attention to the advertising. So was the back just blank before?

(had a look online for australia, but struggling to find rear shot of car...)

I think the last couple of pages show that the advertising really doesnt work / isnt actually aimed at us lowly common folk and ordinary F1 fans. None of us seem to know the brands.

I would be pretty sure that the companies don't get (and don't expect) much return on the actual advertising on the cars - Its got to be all about the schmoozing and corporate entertaining at the races that comes with it, from which they get the return.
