As I said, FIAT (the owner of Ferrari since 1969 ) is a car manufacturer through and through.

I think Ferrari F1, is though, formally allowed autonomy, FIAT can't interfere with the running.

I don't think Mercedes/Stuttgart can interfere with the running of the F1 team either other than simply stopping the cash flow and closing shop (which FIAT probably could as well).

I remember reading a while ago that Ferrari (F1 and road) put money into FIAT, so I don't think FIAT would need to pull the plug.

If you think Redbull (Drinks company) can not make that much money on selling cans to own what they do, I am sure that all of the divisions (F1 teams, and other sporting teams) break even and just advertise the brand.

Didn't Eddie Jordan mention something about "all will be revealed on Wednesday"?? During the Singapore GP coverage? Well, THIS Wednesday is here, I wonder if it has something to do with this long-running saga?

After his win in Texas he was pointing out/showing off his helmet again, I wonder if they're his trophies?

He had the USA flag on his helmet and he's now won back to back USA GP's. I think the pointing was just to do with the win in America.

I'm not aware of teams other than Mclaren doing that, and I heard the drivers have to pay for the replicas. I might be wrong on that but Hamilton does have an issue with not getting the drivers trophies.

Yes I've only heard that its Mclaren that keep the drivers trophies. And Lewis felt strongly about keeping them himself and the team having the replica. Which I think is fair enough.Dont they get constructors trophies anyway?
