Well the Mondial has been sold but that's most likely a good thing and I'm putting the kabosh on buying a NSX. I'm considering another MR2T if I actually get back into another sport's car anytime soon. I could sell the 4Runner and payoff the loan and still have about $4K to play with and I can get a sweet MR2T for that much. Heck with $4K I can buy a nice MR2T AND upgrade the turbo !

SW20 MR2 Turbo's are selling here in AUD for around the 12 to even 18K mark! overpriced if you ask me.

I have driven one of the latest MR2 (my firend works at Toyota)with the button transmission on the stearing wheel. that was fun to drive, pity it wasnt forced induction

Yah that is overpriced for a stock vehicle imo also. I have been looking around on an MR2 website I have been a member of since '01 and the average price for a stock MR2T is floating around $4K-$5K.

UPDATE: I still need to see what my credit union will say but I am considering this Ferrari Mondial! Asking price is $24K and if I can get $14-$15K for my 4Runner I will have $5K for a down payment!

Great! but remember most girls (specially the ones who will 'only' want you for your car ) can't tell if you placed a Ferrari 'sticker' in your nice looking Toyota

Anyway... as with all imports, "asking price" ussually seems like a bargain because they will kill you with those "running costs", before you know it you will have trouble keeping it "mint". Parts, labour and maintenance are killer for these kinda imports, not to mention insurance.....

Had an Alfa Romeo Spider V6 Revamp... Flashy, nice, powerful enough, and when I drove anything else and went back to my Alfa.. it felt like an F1 though not really a 'power' car, Alfas have 'the best' (ahem... citation needed) mechanical handling (for they don't rely much on electronic gizmos such as TC, STM, etc etc). Sold it only for them killer 'running' costs

You know it's funny you say that because I overheard several people say "Oh look at that nice Ferrari" when I had my MR2. One of the best response's I got was from about a 10yr old kid who was in the car next to one time and he was actually hanging halfway out of the car telling his parent's "Look everyone it's an MR2 they are turbocharged and one of the best car's EVER! I want one of those dad instead of a Ferrari".

Needless to say I slowed so I could downshifted for him and let the Apexi N1 muffler sing and he got a nice fat BOV song also.
