Guys, do you actually know who is P1?:rofl::rofl:

Adrian Newey?

no seriously though, Seb is truly up there with Lewis and Alonso, he has proven he can do it all, shame we cant see Lewis or Alonso on a level playing field

wonderful to see Lewis on the ragged edge like that, surely there is no doubt that had he had webbers car he would have had P1

Mark Webber is under investigation for missing a weight check during qualifying for the United States Grand Prix.

Although he finally qualified third, Webber missed a request from the FIA to be weighed towards the end of Q1 at 12:19 local time. As a result, he was summoned to the stewards after qualifying. Red Bull had secured first and third on the grid, with Sebastian Vettel taking pole, and speaking after the session Webber said the team would be focusing on trying to secure the constructors' championship.

"I'm pretty happy with qualifying actually," Webber said. "It's a very tricky venue in terms of tyres, circuit conditions and all those type of things together so it's easy to be out of the window here and not be super competitive if you don't get everything together. So I was pretty happy with the last part of Q3; we had to manage a little problem in the car which in the end I don't think would have cost us a position because the guys obviously were pretty quick and both did very strong lap times.

"I would have liked to have a little bit more pace but overall I'm happy to be third on the grid, it's certainly up there towards the front and we can have a very, very strong grand prix from there. It's a great job from the team, I think constructors wise we've got our eye firmly on that tomorrow to try to put that to bed and that will be a huge result for everyone at Milton Keynes and Renault."

:rofl: he's getting in practise for next year.
On another note. How worrying is the slippy side of the grid? Can't they throw a bit of dust over the other side to make it equal?

Mark Webber was given a reprimand from the stewards for missing a weight check during qualifying for the United States Grand Prix.

Although he finally qualified third, Webber missed a request from the FIA to be weighed towards the end of Q1 at 12:19 local time. As a result, he was summoned to the stewards after qualifying, but after the incident was investigated the stewards decided against handing out a grid penalty for the incident.

New tarmac tends to be a bit slippery.

I know that. That wasn't the question I asked.

Interestingly, Button says his problem in 2012 is down to getting tyres to work, and that it is exactly the same problem he had for half of 2009, his WDC year. He then says he is confident for next year as he thinks the team will fix this problem

Now is it just me or is that letting the 'cat out of the bag'

he has had the same problem for years, and he is waiting for the team to fix it for him?

With only two more grands prix left in the season and nothing but pride to drive for, Button is hopeful the team will come to the bottom of his problems and then take that into the 2013 campaign.

It was not so much a degradation issue, of pushing the tyre too hard, the problem was getting it in a working range.

"That is normally a bad area for me, and the problem I had at Brawn when I won my Championship, so a lot of the year I've struggled with that and is something we need to continue to work on.

Awesome song at the end of the BBC coverage!

What was it? Sounded like CCR or John Fogerty.

I wasn't replying to your post, but to answer your question pretty much every track has a better side to be on. This track is still very green so those on the slippery side should have just driven faster to get on the clean side.

In that case... No. They can't sprinkle fairy dust on the other side ;)

But yea, everyone was (very) concerned with the dirty side. I think Lewis said something about having the FIA clean it a little.... but who knows if it'll get done. So do expect even #'s to lose out on the start.
