I think the one with the torch is the 1101.

This is the one where the on/off button no longer works so I can never let the battery die!

My contract is also drawing to a close. And by golly, I need to switch it. I've been paying over £30 a month for this Android thing, and I CANNOT AFFORD TO KEEP DOING IT :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

We have one of these knocking about; we always keep a cheap phone on hand for the inevitable time when my wife breaks her smartphone; in four years, she has broken three of them!

Personally I would go for the Samsung Galaxy SIII; the Note is too large, it's almost a tablet, the S3 offers a good balance of size and portability, but the Droid RAZR does look sweet!

It's a shame that my contract isn't up until Sept 2013 because I added my wife to my contract; otherwise I would be due for an upgrade in January!

My phone is very basic. I only use it for texting and occasionally phoning. I upgraded to sim only last time with a view to saving some money towards the iPad. I only pay £10 a month. I thought the iPhone would be too little and fiddley. But......I'm now getting tempted .....

A batch mate just got his iPhone5 delivered to his house yesterday...and he's acting like he gave birth to it. :hehe: The sheer power of marketing.

I would choose it not for that reason but because it will work like my iPad.....easy. And I'd not get the 5 I'd get a well older one, it'll be fine for me.

Well I don't know. To a certain extent, in that they market the idea that all apple stuff works the same and I now have one and like how it works. But I got the ipad after much debate, research, trying out and asking you lot, not because I listened to the marketing. Prior to that I decided not to get an iPhone despite the marketing and some friends telling me they're the best thing since sliced bread. So I don't think that's responding to marketing. IF I get one it will be because I actually like the product and it suits me, not because of the marketing.

I fiddled around with the HTC One X and it turns out it's a nice little device. Haven't used it but I was able to convince my wife to ditch her aging Blackberry and try an Android device. It's got 32 gigs of on board memory and felt very snappy, Google drive works but has a bug that isn't showing up in my other ICS Android devices.

I don't use google drive, I think the choice is now is the HTC One and the Note 2...

HTC one because of the Sense software,

The Note because, I use my phone more than my own computer now a days. So the big screen is the selling point

I've had the Note 2 for a week now.. coming off the HTC Evo. I love it. I don't use the S Pen now, but may find a use for it later. The most important thing to me at the moment is that it's scalable. Hopefully I won't need to buy another phone for 3yrs. It is currently the most advanced phone on the planet. There is no lag or delay in the operation of the phone with a 1.6 processor and 2 ram.. That more than the laptop I am typing on now. Hahhaaaaa.
