You can see the lower cross section which holds the wing move, seeing as the nose and wing took two different hits I think it's just yet another reach by Spanky on his anti RedBull crusade.

So a hit to a rigid carbon fiber nose piece turns it into something the consistency of a gym mat?

In Red Bull's defense, maybe they're just testing out the material that will be used to cover the "ugly nose" step next year.

I dont think there is anything strange about that. I doubt the nose cone was design to have counter-levering forces placed on it like that - I would imagine the nose is built to withstand oncoming forces...

Yellow was, and still is the official colour of Ferrari You can see the official Ferrari colour as the background on the traditional cavalino rampante (prancing horse) badge of Ferrari. It is generally believed that Enzo chose the colour as it was the official colour of their hometown Modena, which in turn got the colour from the gold found in the hills around the town.

In F1, Ferrari races in the colour red because almost from the day dot, in GP racing, cars were painted the colour allocated to their country. Red for Italian cars, blue for French, green for British, silver for German etc.

It's interesting that Red Bull would design the outer end section of the car, the nose to be so flexible that, even after an impact (that would break the inner mounts) the skin/outer would not fracture. I guess it's just a lucky co-incidence that it would make the nose a mass damper

I think the reflection is giving it that appearance. Without knowing its structural integrity on how it's designed the noses on all F1 cars are designed to flex so I don't see what the big deal is. The amount of force that part of the car receives is unbelievable, without movement it would snap.

As Bud points out, bodywork is designed with a certain amount of flex or else it would likely fail. The flex here appears excessive but I suspect this may be due to the nose being handled in a way in which it is not really designed to be handled. My understanding is that the nose of an F1 car would be pulled down under load (as it is designed to work) however, it is being lifed and twisted in the clip.

Doubtless it'll be looked into at some point by some technical geniuses who will provide a suitable explanation, or Eddie Jordan will spend half of the BBC coverage guessing and getting it totally wrong.

I wouldn't have thought so. I believe the mechanic to the left of the one twisting the camera unit is unlocking the wing with that little tool.

My prediction is that Vettel will start the race from pit lane again, and then be forced only use his reverse gear and 3 wheels, but still win the race. Yet unfortunately, that still will not be enough to disprove the doubters, so then I expect him to have an alternator failure, get out and push the car for a few laps until he rolls over the finish line.

Also, the FIA should introduce new rules and ban the safety car, because that will obviously give Vettel some form of advantage. And on track overtaking should be banned so that nobody has any accidents that could also give Vettel an advantage... And to ensure Vettel doesn't gain some sort of advantage from a lucky pit strategy, he should also be penalised with 2 drive through stop/go penalties, because it's now illegal to benefit from other peoples misfortune, or your own, even though most of the accidents at the last race happened behind Vettel.
