Very nice and relaxed interview on BBC.

It was good drive by Vettel. Can't take that away. Actually, I should say a good result because as it's been stated, he had many events go his way. Not to mention the biggest one which was having Red Bull basically give him a completely different car than the one he qualified with.

The WDC has been in the bag for a bit, at least Austin will be of some historical significance in it's inaugural race.

So having a safety car which 1) set up the scenario for terminal wing damage, 2) put him back 10 seconds AND 9 places and 3) ruins his one-stop strategy is considered luck?
Having drivers BEHIND run into each other is considered luck?

Superb champion's drive with 1 real mistake.

I counted three. :hehe:

1 real mistake ;-)
Vettel had the apex and Senna didn't leave him any room; Grosjean could be argued that he was crowding. Neither were big mistakes; the only real mistake was getting together with Riciardo.

I enjoyed Vettels drive today as much as I enjoyed Schumahers 16th to 1st at the 1995 Belgium GP. :cloud9:

I was only 5 then. Needless to say, I can't remember it

yeah Seb got lucky with SC, but so have many others in the past, I remember Lewis's 08 Monaco win as being a prime example, if he didnt nudge the wall require a tyre change then he wouldnt have won. As a driver you just take the race as it comes and try and finish as high as possible, Seb got a podium from the pit lane, thats all that needs to be said.

He's also the same guy who wrote off Vettel doing well and said the WDC is Alonso's after qualifying. Also said he's not going to watch the race. That's a true Vettel fan alright. :hehe:

Can someone get in contact with Vettel i want him to pick out my euro lottery numbers.

Lets face it, he couldn't have asked for a more perfect day in terms of the race, lots of incidents, 2 safety cars, both timed perfectly allowing him to close large gaps, one was 25 seconds at one point, the only time he was going wheel to wheel was button and Grosjean really, he had to go off the track to pass Grosjean initially and had fresher, soft tires for button, hardly difficult stuff considering he easily has the best performing car on the grid because of Adrian Newey, when his car isn't performing, i.e mid season and he comes through even from 10th, with no safety cars or huge slices of good fortune, then I will class him at the same level as Lewis and Alonso.

Good thing I don't give a rat's arse about your opinion, so class him however you want.

Yeah and a good thing i don't give a rats arse about your opinion, i'm going to twitter Vettel and ask him to choose my Euro numbers this week.:rofl:

Oh dear not much taste in drivers both cheating Gernans! I hate to say it but its true. If the team had not been on the radio so quickly I bet Vettel wouldn't have given the place back to Grosjean. Vettel just shouldn't have been there and should have got a drive through for that!
