i really think that the FIA should introduce caps on how long a president can serve. Most western democracies limit their presidents to 2 terms to stop them becoming insane dictators trying to push their own agendas. The FIA should take note

Such pompous arrogance. He knows that he cant be sacked so he just laughs in the faces of those interested parties who want him gone.
More examples of the FIA out of control, run by an arrogant, bully of a dictator who is untouchable.
8 Ball suggests a time limit for the job. I don't mind if a President stays on for longer, provided that he be voted in, by all of the teams in the first place and that there is a mechanism to get him out by a vote of no confidence. I also think that the FIA should take account of the views of the fans. At present MM is accountable to no-one and is propped up by Ferrari. I suspect that he is considering his future in 2009 because Todt may well be off the scene by then and he is a major ally for Max.
Talking of dictators, in a newspaper this week there was an interview with Bernie. The headline was something like - Why I dislike democracy, - My donations to the labour party (major scandal a while ago) - and what my wife said when I asked if I could take a mistress!!! Say no more !!!

Well, in 2005 that motion was actually passed. I can only think that it does not apply retrospectively hence the arrogant twat is still at the head of what has become the Forth Reich. What I would also like to see is more accountability of the President and, to be honest, other sections of the FIA. The General Assembly is basically a body of civil servants running the totalitarian state on behalf of its President, the World Motor Sport council is an unimpartial body, free to decide on whatever it wants, and the Appeals Court is as just the same. The people on the ground, as it were, i.e. the stewards etc. are effectively a secret police for the President.

Mosley has also said he wants Jean Todt to be the next FIA leader. Laissez les bons temps roller - encore.

Oh no, if Todt takes over I might be asking for Max back. I really am not sure what the process is - who appoints the President? does anyone know?

Good point D. No team members should be involved at all in the FIA, except where there is equal representation of all teams.

7up Js idea of a car park demo is good but the car park is a bit of a trek from here.

Lets see if we can find out the process and influence it that way.

If he were the CEO of a major company, he would have been out on his ear a decade ago and absolutely certainly in terms of the poorly handled spy scandal. Let's say McLaren were genuinely as guilty as sin, the investigation was still flawed and handled very badly. It also shows the man has no shame. Anybody else would be ashamed to show their face again.

McLaren were definately guilty in my opinion, but you're damn right about it all being handled badly by the FIA. I'm sure the Ferrari fans will agree about that too.
