If they think he can go to the end, I think they should go for it! 20odd second pit stop vs going for it for 20 laps more. that means he has 1s per lap for degradation. Would it be worse than that?

Safety car came in lap 15. So he did 2 laps under safety car.
So that could take him to lap 51 according to Pirellis 36 laps.
