Dude, they could have stopped him at least 2km earlier. That track is 5.555km long, and he stopped 2 corners before the finish line.

Maybe they didn't know early enough. Maybe the message from Renault to the pit wall was delayed. Maybe the message from the pit wall to Vettel was delayed. Maybe Vettel didn't stop as soon as the message was given.

Exactly, Hamilton had 1 litre of fuel in his tank but was DQ'ed because he stopped to ensure there would be a litre in the tank!

I don't see Alonso getting a podium but its always hard to say with Ferrari as they usually rock up Sunday with good pace. Vettel could make it into the points and limit any points loss to Alonso.

This is the bit that gets me. Should Red Bull, a team that has won multiple Championships and has been running Renault engines for years, be making their own calls on fuel loads for their qualifying and race strategies? Why leave this solely for their assigned Renault engine guy...and then hang the guy out to dry when things go pear-shaped? Hmmm...dodgy business.
