Actually I think it's something of a unique one off, can't be bought, nothing to do with the gifting aspect.

I will say the following.

I am a McLaren fan, and will continue to support Woking next year. I will admit that Lewis Hamilton is an immense talent, and he will be missed at McLaren when he leaves.

However, I still put my weight behind Button and Perez, and hope that McLaren will do well next season. I wish Lewis all the best at Merc, and if they thrash McLaren, then fair enough, but I'm a McLaren man for now.

I hope to have no hard-feelings with any Lewis fans on here from here-on in.

Interesting times lie ahead.

Can I suggest a group hug for McLaren / Lewis fans. There's been a lot of sabre rattling in recent times, and I, as you know, being a peaceful chap, wouldn't want it to be the case.

I’ve been happy with it all weekend and the pace has been good, but in qualifying it just wasn’t there for me and I’m not sure why; if I knew, I would have sorted it out, so for the moment I just don’t know.”

Is it possible that Button is just now figuring out that there is a lot of lap time between Lewis and him? Lap time he can't recover? Can't be. No one on the team told him? He hasn't been looking at the data all year? It seems he's reverted back to the Button of mid-season when he couldn't find any grip while Lewis, in the same car, is on pole and just loving his car. 2013 is going to be miserable for Button...I can already tell.
