I know how the world of football is, and it's a shame that that is the way it has become. Some fans are prepared to 'defend' their favoured team to such a violent extent. It's just as bad as all the fighting between gangs. And whilst I do not expect such a thing ever to happen in Formula 1, there's always a chance it will.

Anyway, I think that Kovalainen has a chance of finishing ahead of Massa if the McLaren is good enough. Massa did look to be struggling a little throughout the testing... I still think that it will be Raikkonen who wins the WDC, but if their reliability record holds up like last year and there isn't a repeat of the political events, then I think McLaren may take the WCC.

OMG what a fluke. Looks like I write his name right. ie i wrote this "Kovalainen (However you say it, McLaren)" and Denthúl spelt it the same (in his quote). Must be my flukey day. When i wrote the guys name I had no idea of what it was as I had a mental blank but looks like I got it right after all. *LOL*

Those teams are going to be the fastest this year I think (and their best driver followed):

1. Ferrari (Räikkönen)
2. McLaren (Hamilton)
3. Renault (Alonso)
4. BMW-Sauber (Kubica)
5. Toyota (Glock)
6. Williams (Rosberg)
7. Red Bull (Webber)
8. Force India (Fisichella)
9. Toro Rosso (Vettel)
10. Super Aguri (Sato)
11. Honda (Button)

My results would go like this

Drivers ( top 6)
1.Raikkonen
2.Massa
3.Hamilton
4.Button
5.Rosberg
6.Kovalainen

Constructors
1.Ferrari (they are awesome and full of confidence)
2.McLaren ( they'll be there or there abouts)
3.Honda ( i think under ross brawn they could provide 1 or 2 shocks)
4.Bmw ( they'll have a few more podiums this year , but i dont see them holding honda off)
5.Williams (they'll have an okay season - remember that nakajima is a rookie)
6. Renault (there on a downwards slope and Alonso only won 2 championships because in 2005 kimi's kept braking down and in 2006 sccumi had 3 problems in the last 2 raceswhich if he had not had he would have won both races comfortably - or given massa the brazil race.)
7.Red Bull ( i see them cloise to bmw, williams and Renault though)
8.Super Aguri ( they have 2 great drivers)
9. Toyota ( trulli cant finish high enough and glock is a newcomer)
10.Toro Rosso ( bourdais and Vettel are still rookies)
11.Force India ( cant see them improving despite having fisi)

it was hard to predict betweeen 3rd and 7th because it will be an almighty close fight.
there will also be a close fight between super aguri and toro rosso aswell.

What would your own ranking look like? :?:

i think it will be very close between williams , bmw and honda. it could depend on who picks up the podiums if ferrari or mclaren hit problems

I think close between Williams, Renault and BMW with Honda lagging further back. But most often I think Williams will get it

I'm calling another championship for Ferrari, no matter if they win enough races or not. With two drivers like Evilstone and Max "Seriously Deranged" Mosely how could they not win? Introduce a couple of low tech rule changes half way through the season, dock a few points from the Mac lads towards the end and they have another win.
Will be sorry to see Uncle Ron bailing this season but he's just about had enough I think.
By the way what's all this about F1 being a sport? Not until we get rid of the evil twins and get back to teams being able to produce the best, most advanced cars they can without FIAT being allowed to constantly level the playing field to thier advantage.
Go Hamilton, I predict Kimi will be sorry he deserted the team that nurtured his talent for so long.

McLaren were only beating ferrari because they cheated . after the punishment they won 1 out of 4 races. because in japan raikkonen and massa started last behind the safety car and hamilton won the race.

I cant believe that you really think that Ferrari man. Even if McL were using Ferrari technology, (which has not been proven and is unlikely, at that time), It does not say much for Ferrari that another team can make their technology work better than they can. On that basis McL would deserve to win anyway.
I am not a McL fan, indeed I am not a fan of any particular team, but when I see team fans whose view on life is so distorted that they think that their team is whiter than white and truly unbeatable, and if anyone else wins its because they are fundamentally evil, is an astonishing example of wish dreaming.
There are many good teams in F1, and no team is invincible.
A million words have been exchanged on this forum about the Ferrari / McL scandal so I am not going to add more, but lets move on, the first race is just 17 days away.

You can't have read the official FIA report then which cleared McLaren of using any data in the MP4-22. Even if McLaren did use Ferrari data on the MP4-22 (which, like I say, did not happen), McLaren must have been better at using Ferrari's data than Ferrari themselves.

I could go on about so many things, but I cannot be bothered and another row about this is certain to happen. What I suggest is that you go through the past posts on this forum.

They would've won two races if they'd pulled Hamilton in one lap earlier in Shanghai. You can't say that that win was down to Ferrari superiority at all, just bad strategy from McLaren. They would also have taken the drivers championship at Interlagos had they not put Hamilton on to a three-stop strategy (even with the mechanical problem he had early on, he would most likely have finished higher up, meaning he'd have had enough points to beat Raikkonen). Throughout the season, I'd honestly say that the McLaren was the better car, purely because in the entire season they only had one real reliability issue and that was at Interlagos.

It wasn't proven that they had Ferrari technology on their cars, and I doubt that they did. McLaren have built many cars in the past that have been superior to the Ferraris and they don't need any assitance to be able to do that.

I'M afraid but mclaren put hamilton onto a 3 sto rather than a 2 stop because it overall was 10 seconds faster. so that proves nothing.

hamilton wouldn't have won shanghai if they had opulled hi in 1 lap earlier because raikkonen would ghave taken the lead , he would have won the championship though because he would have finished 4th.
