I don't like Mitt Romney

[What's Burning?]

The republican party has become so right wing on social issue... let's forget about the wars and the horrible economic choices and decisions over the last decade that we're trying to claw out of now.

The current Republican Party doctrine states that they'd ban all funding and assistance for in-vitro fertilization for women WANTING to have a baby... but they would deny a woman who's been impregnated via the result of **** or incest, the choice of aborting the pregnancy from which she DOESN'T WANT a baby.

It's insane.

Well after watching the 3rd party debate a couple weeks ago, and re-researching Obama, I've decided to vote Green Party, despite being in a swing state.

I'm sick of voting for representatives who pander to whomever funds their campaign, not to mention blatantly trample on our civil liberties without being called on it (not even by their major competition). That's what I don't get - Obama has plenty of stuff to legitimately question, but Republicans don't challenge it because they want to do the same things.

you know... as long as you vote that's what matters.

If you can't say anything nice... I supported Ross Perot once, when the choices were Clinton and Papa Bush.

Just playing the she-devil's advocate
I vote about 4 times a year in two countries, so there. However, I definitely have the impression that my vote in NY counts very little as it's not a battleground state whatsoever...
And no, I've never wasted my vote on a 3rd party right-wing loser

Move to Ohio.

And right wing loser? Regan would be considered too left leaning by today's Republican party standards.

Right-wing loser nutcase you voted for

That right wing loser nutcase knew enough to know NAFTA was a bad idea and the other nutcase and the winning nut case were both fully behind it. Twenty years later which of the three was proven right?

The House of Representatives approved NAFTA on November 17, 1993, 234-200. The agreement's supporters included 132 Republicans and 102 Democrats. NAFTA passed the Senate 61-38. Senate supporters were 34 Republicans and 27 Democrats.

Right out of the Wikipedia site;

With such declared policies as balancing the federal budget, a firm pro-choice stance on abortion, expansion of the war on drugs, ending outsourcing of jobs, opposition to gun control, belief in protectionism on trade, advocating the Environmental Protection Agency and enacting electronic direct democracy via "electronic town halls,"

Doesn't seem very right wing to me.. as a matter of fact, today he'd be a basic Democrat.

You're excused for such a view because today's GOP is ruled by fascistoid right wing nutcases, so Perot almost looks sane in comparison.
