Maybe Lewis can help Alonso. If he gets a good start and doesn't have yet another car malfunction he'll go for a win,he's nothing to lose. He can stop Vettel scoring 25 points. Ok it would also take it away from Alonso....But maybe he could help

Why should he help Alonso?

I didn't mean actively set out to help him, he will still be racing 100% for himself. I meant if he can get in fighting for the win it will take points off Vettel which could benefit Alonso.

Or take points of Alonso which will benefit Vettel.

If you read my original post you will see I said exactly that.

I know.

Certainly a lot of changes to the F2012. Really surprising. Plus they broke the curfew last night.

Changes picked up so far:-
1) lots of changes to the rear wing structure. An additional element lower rear section.
2) changes to the diffusers gurneys
3) exhaust outlet
4) changes to the monkey seat

Its only FP1 but as usual McLaren look dominant as soon as they are out of the Championship fights.

McLaren really attacked the FP1. We all know that on this track it was ALWAYS the fight between Hamilton and Vettel. I expect the same thing on Sunday. Ferrari also changed some bits on their front wing, but Red Bull was also testing a lot today. This race could really be a fan fair. :D

Alonso looks set to be owned here. The McLarens and Redbulls seem to be well clear of Ferrari in practice...and Lotus is also in the mix. Apparently, everyone believes Ferrari were on a lower fuel load compared to others on their option tyre runs and still couldn't match the pace at front. Looks like their updates still not streamlined between windtunnel and track.
