- 28 Oct 12, 21:39#330344Interesting race, once again Ferrari lost the race on Saturday, Alonso was at least a match for Vettel in race pace, but was 7 seconds behind after 4 laps squabbling with Button and Hamilton. Great drive by Alonso, he set the car up perfectly for straightline speed in the DRS zone and clearly benefitted, considering he was also fuel saving while chasing Vettel and Webber and lapping quicker than them, it was an epic drive and 8 points gained from qualifying. Button was relatively slow compared to Hamilton today and Massa largely anonymous although he was fuel saving for half the race.
Kimi did ok but had no straightline speed to pass Massa, which ruined his race. Hulk drove well and is now starting to consistently (Singapore excepting) outdrive Di Resta. Grosjean was very quiet and Senna did well to get P10.
As for the championship - I still think it hangs in the balance, Alonso and Vettel had very similar pace for large periods off the race when both were in clear air and Abu Dhabi + Brazil should suit Alonso and Ferrari better.
