To be fair, Lewis would be cuter if he got rid of that horrible thing he's been using to impersonate a chin strap. :hehe:

All Perez and Button have shown is that they are capable of executing Plan B. However barring any problems Plan A always beats Plan B.
McLaren had Plan A and Plan B specialists, next year they will have 2 plan B guys, one of them inexperienced, the other one lame (compared to the aces)

Btw Plan a is to drive fastest, be fastest and trash the equipment so it falls apart just after the finish line
Plan B is the alternative open to those unable to drive a car at its limits for 60 laps, the ones for whom its always a lack of grip or a lack of balance, never the lack of balls to deal with the fear of crashing by keeping your right foot planted all the time.

The bottom line is that the Plan A aces qualify ahead, and for the Plan B guys to beat them, crashes and issues have to occur.

Take Perez, his great drives this year have mostly being about exploiting Plan B and getting a break or two. We saw Webber do similar from 11th on the grid, however we dont see him then opt for Plan B when he has a choice

Plan B drivers need a car with a massive advantage, only then can they qualify upfront and ultimately thats the route to WCs. Cant relie on the Aces all falling of the track enough thru the season to allow a lame duck to beat the geese

I mean, what use is a slow race driver? its like being a poor millionaire, 'ohh but hes much better in races?' yeah cos in races chance messes with Aces more than on the 1 lap 'balls on the line' alpha stuff.

The only explanation is the Mclaren, like Arsenal, like Williams have decide to continue in F1(football) as participants not as challengers. The only success they have had recently is from a guy they tried to aggregate with a Plan B low rent option. Maybe its fine for them to finish behind the big boys and try to run their road and engineering business on that basis. Thing is Arsenal have Wenger, McLaren have Martin and Sam

Mercedes now have an Ace, that completely changes everything at the team wrt focus and direction (apologies to Nico, who I respect a lot)

Lewis VS Nico will be brilliant to watch next season. There should be lots of talk about this during the off-season.

I agree. Lewis is going to have his hardest year yet since his rookie year in regards to intra team battle. I think Nico is going to push him hard and certainly no pushover seeing as how he ran Lewis and Alonso of the road in Bahrain earlier this year!

I think Hamilton will blast Rosberg next year easy. Rosberg is ok in qualifying, but in races is very inconsistent. He actually reminds me of Trulli (to an extent) in that respect.

I can't figure Nico out, it's difficult to tell what's him versus what's the car. Given the way he did in Q1 and Q2 yesterday and then choosing not to run in Q3 (god I hate that tactic) I though Mercedes would do well and be fighting for a solid fifth today. Not to be, so once again it's difficult to tell what's what.

It's as if there is absolutely no race pace in the car.

But I lean closer to you scotty... I think the results in qualifying next year will be sort of like the results he's had in qualifying against Button.

I'm looking forward immensely to next year . so those of you who say I only ever want Lewis to win, put that in your Pipe and smoke in it( :hehe::wink: ) cos he won't win most likely. Nico and Lewis both strike me as no nonsense guys that will work for the team and not waste time on petty mind games. This will help Mercedes. McLaren may come up with a stunner, they may get their organisation issues sorted out and not waste points, the drivers might go fast.......but I don't think all those things will happen. So the season will be entertaining. More so for me because the expectation is off Lewis for next year. He had a ball today, driving the car without having to conserve tyres or fuel, he loved it. He said that's what racing is about for him...more than winning. It's why I love him!!! And I suspect the tyres won't be so crucial next year, which will allow him to push the car more. bring it on!!!!
