Spoil sport.

Far from it mate and lord know's I could talk for hr's on end about Anna K. but it would be nice if we could keep this thread on topic, right?

I was only joking. I understand. :hehe:

I know :D but I had to make sure you had you 'race face' on!!! Only 29min's to go for me, how much longer for you?

The pre-race Hamilton fest is on, but the race does not start for 40 minutes or so yet - at 5.30 in the morning. I'm now starting to get a little bit nervous. Sport is bad for your heart. :hehe:

Well my joke flopped but I am not deterred. I shall continue telling jokes in the threads. You're not getting rid of me that easy!

I wouldn't mind a female F1 driver these days. I mean why not?

After all F1 does need some eye candy. Infact if she used some 'dirty' tactics she could be pretty successful. :D

What if the FIA decided that a female champion would be fantastic publicity for the sport.

[I'll leave the consequences of this as an exercise for the reader]

I think that, possibly, the reason women do not do so well in high level motor sport is the physical fitness requirement. Women are not as strong or with the same stamina as men - fact of life, its why there are seperate races for women in athletics and, indeed, all strength / fitness sports.
I think that every team would love to have a woman driver for the glamour / publicity value. Eddie Jordan I remember tried very hard to get a woman driver.
One day, I am sure it will happen. The trouble is though that, if the first F1 female driver is not good, she will damage the prospects of future women.

On the other hand, would a woman be able to park the car properly in the garage? - sorry girls, couldn't resist that one - I am a bloke after all!

 Ive seen plenty of F1 drivers park it in silly places.

Schumacher-in the middle of the track during quali CALCULATED CHEATING
Hamilton- on top of Raikonen BOYS WILL BE BOYS!
Coulthard- in the pit wall JUST A BAD HABIT
Piquet- anywhere PIQUET ONLY PARKS IT AFTER HE HAS BROKEN IT
Alonso- in his pit box when he should be on his way SULKING
Loads-on the grid as the green lights go out. TOO MUCH BEER THE NIGHT BEFORE
Need i go on :wink:NO POINT R.C., US MALE CHEUVANIST PIGS JUST STICK TOGETHER!

I dont think its lack of physical strength since the car is the muscle. I know they would have to be supremely fit and have an enormous neck ( :yikes: big disadvantage on the looks front!) But all thats possible. I think its traditional and it will take a long time to work that through. There are many more girls racing carts now. I think woman may have an advantage on the multitasking and quick reaction front but men would have an advantage on the psychological(testosterone) front.

It takes a lot of muscle, and stamina, to control the F1 car muscle.

It's a frightening prospect to face the possibility to see the clock turned back to the 1950's if elected :yikes:
