Felipe Massa signs one-year contract extension with Ferrari

Felipe Massa will stay at Ferrari for the 2013 season after signing a one-year extension to his current contract.
The 31-year-old Brazilian will remain with the Maranello marque for an eighth consecutive year.
However, it is only expected to be a stop-gap deal before the arrival of Sebastian Vettel in 2014.
A Ferrari statement read: "The Scuderia's driver line-up for next year is therefore made up of Fernando Alonso and the aforementioned Felipe Massa."

I agree although 2014 is more likely than 2015. I heard this weekend Will Buxton mention something that Vettel had some sort of "win" clause in his contract that would allow him to walk away from Red Bull, but there were no details around the statement.

Okay... let's at the very least congratulate Massa for getting a contract extension. He's genuinely turned his season around, and I'm looking forward to his continued resurgence.

Spanky... what if next year's Massa shows up and manages to beat Alonso and be slotted as the number one driver at Ferrari? I'd just like to see Alonso being told to move out of the way for Felipe... for no other reason that it would be proof positive that the tifosi actually were founded in their beliefs.
