The discussion that follows from the statistics of course is more interesting than the numbers themselves. We should have it.
But I said what I said because I thought you were suggesting that my original post was incomplete or wrong because I hadn't specified why things happened as they did.
And in response I wanted to point out that it really wasn't my goal to discuss the why's, only the what's. If I had gotten into the reasons behind the observations in my first post, it would have become a jumbled mess of incomplete opinions, numbers, and my own biases. I didn't want that. Hence I didn't talk about the why's. I don't think that makes my original post incomplete, it just has a more limited purpose.
Forgive me. I understand the point, however statistics alone only give you the numbers. You may not be a baseball fan but the saying goes... They all look like line drives in the box scores.
There is not much to discuss if all you wanted to do was post the statistics.
