Instead of talking about SABOTAGE, why not call it like it is. McLaren have fallen apart, and at this rate will be lucky to keep third place in the WCC. What we saw yesterday in qualifying was all Lewis, what we saw today in the race, was all McLaren, nothing but the facts.

Disagree....we saw some Lewis today when he was re-overtook and kept Kimi behind while nursing a broken car.

 yeah, hard to get excited about racing for 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, then holding on to tenth... hell the AstroTurf almost beat him today.

ESPNF1; Lewis Hamilton said another rear suspension failure was the reason he struggled to tenth place in the Korean Grand Prix.

Having started in third, Hamilton was fourth in the opening stint and matching pace with Fernando Alonso ahead of him. However, towards the end of the stint Hamilton dropped back and complained of a problem which resulted in him dropping through the field and resorting to a three-stop strategy en-route to tenth place.

Hamilton said it was another rear suspension failure after he suffered one in qualifying in Suzuka - though team principal Martin Whitmarsh said it was a rear anti-roll bar failure - and made the car very difficult to drive.

"Sam Michael just came to me and said that we had a rear suspension problem in the first stint, but they said it was safe for me to drive," Hamilton said. "I did ask [during the race] but I wasn't expecting them to tell me. They said 'we know what the problem is' but I was just fighting the whole way with the car.

"I don't know if you saw but down the pit straight the car was just moving, so I was correcting it all the time, which is really strange."

While the car was uncompetitive, Hamilton was content that he had driven as well as he could in the circumstances to salvage a point.

"It was a real test but I just did absolutely everything I could. It wasn't particularly fun; moving backwards and then fighting with the Toro Rosso - a McLaren should never be fighting with a Toro Rosso and it should never be fighting with a Force India - but I put up as strong a fight as I could with Kimi without colliding.

"This rules that we're pretty much out of the championship today but sometimes these races show the true spirit within, so I feel quite comfortable with myself that I pushed and I gave it everything."

Some Astroturf lodged on to Hamilton's car towards the end of the race and slowed him even further, but he said it just accentuated the problem he already had.

"It just added on to where my car was going anyway so I was lucky that I was able to at least hold on and hold on to tenth."

Guys allow me to explain
Since there is 1 week break between Japan and Korea teams could not strip the cars to see if there is worn suspension
so McLaren couldnt get a suspension part they just had to fix it so they didnt know if the suspension was still strong since they cant strip the car
So I believe the failure was partly due to this

If Mclaren wanted to sabatage Lewis, they would have just limited the engine revs or something, no need to give him breaking parts.

At anyrate, he's leaving McLaren now, do we have to have this discussion every race?

Will it happen next year that people will be claiming that Mercedes is sabotaging Hamilton?

If I say no, does that make it less likely to happen? Maybe, I'd rather wait and see, I think Mercedes will get 1 years grace for the regulation changes in 2014, although if Rosberg starts out-performing Hamilton he might get it.

Let's just wait and see but I very much doubt that my faith in humanity will be restored.

Will Perez get it if he starts out performing Button? It goes both ways you know.

Some people seem to think that Hamilton is a god among men and can do no wrong, and nothing bad can every happen to him UNLESS it was done on purpose by his own team....

Let's not overlook the part of today's race that surprised me more than the McLaren fiasco. Korea has been the first time we could have heard the phrase "Felipe is faster than you".

Haha yeah, the following quote has to be:

"Felipe, you are too close to Fernando"

3rd time in 4 years that Rob Smedley wins quote of the year for radio messages to Massa!

Get it from who? People are looking forward to watching Perez. Button, on the other hand, seems set to get it: Either he is conniving, and has undermined Perez at McLaren, or he is a useless driver, who expected an easier challenge in Perez but is getting beat.

 He' s had plenty bad stuff happen to him that's nothing to do with his team.
