I'm really looking forward to Perez owning Jenson at the start..P11-P12

Couple of things... for all of the conspiracy about McLaren purposely sabotaging Lewis' car, can we drop it? Please?

Second, for all the Hamilton can't set his car up or keeps making mistakes with his car set up, or isn't able to give the feedback to his engineers Button can, can we drop it? Please?

We'll see if Button can put his car behind Hamilton tomorrow, or beat him, the way Lewis has been able to do every time he's had a mistake or set back in Qualifying... as Brundle apparently has said, a podium is possible for Button tomorrow. Perhaps he's expecting Lewis to DNF with a mysterious failure once again?:hehe:

Does anyone expect Webber to beat Vettel tomorrow? Really?

Lastly... and no need to belabor things since it's just my opinion. The reason I dislike Vettel, as good a driver as he is, is that he's greedy, he's a whiner AND a sore loser. Last week, he wanted the grand slam and against the wishes of his team, he goes out for fast lap. He isn't satisfied with merely winning, IMO it's a big personal flaw of his. Today, he doesn't get pole, that honor goes to Webber... what does he do? I'm going to whine on the interview about how it's Massa's fault because he missed getting a good run at the beginning of his last flying lap. STFU and take it like a man and beat Webber tomorrow... but to complain about other drives the reason he does when things don't go his way is the sole reason why I will never support the guy.

Lastly... next year in the same situation, McLaren will have had both cars out in Q3. and to be fair, Lewis will be somewhere in the third or fourth row. :hehe:

Personally if i have something on my mind regarding a team constantly letting their driver down on a regular basis i'm always gonna call them out on it and there's no reason people should not question the timing of such things and perhaps the reasons behind such sudden loss in performance....lol and just think, what if Lewis never made it out of Q1? Jesus that was mighty mighty close and the conspiracy theories would have continued in this forum and all the other forums long into the next races until there was some kind of improvement or maybe forever! Thankfully Hamilton made it through after his team told him he was safe and didn't need to go out again. The evolution of the track was apparently 0.6 in Q1 so perhaps mclaren predicted less and thats why they didn't think he needed to go out again. Should be a good race tomorrow cos the guys at the front are pretty close in pace and i expected vettel to be like .5 ahead of everyone else but thankfully Webber raised his game again and its about time too. If Buttons race pace in P2 is anything to go by then Hamilton should be very competitive tomorrow also.

First of all, to all Vettel haters, you're gonna be really sore losers tomorrow when he wins!
Second, there will be NO team orders at Red Bull, mainly because Vettel will overtake Webber and the start, and if that wouldn't happen, Mark is still in the game for the championship. Silverstone last year was a clear situation, Webber was MILES behind the dominating Vettel. And not just that, the team wanted no risk on constructors points.
As for race pace, I give best chances to Alonso. Will he be able to win, that's the other thing. Red Bull boys are fast, but the tire wear is really high, McLaren is somewhere between them and Ferrari. Alonso will stay out longer, preserve his tires more and likely win this one. It will be between him, Vettel, and Hamilton, if he manages to avoid lap 1 trouble and technical failures.

Last year it was even more obvious Vettel would win the WDC and Redbull the WCC then it is this year, they had less incentive to use team orders.

Errr really? Vettel was further behind the WDC leader at this stage last season, they definitely had MORE incentive to use team orders last year wouldn't you think.

I think Button has pulled a blinder. A "Grosjean 1st lap" will remove Alonso, Hamilton, and Vettel. Button will be left behind to pick up all the pieces and points. My only hope is the RG does not take out KR.

lol please!
that would be something if Grosjean took them all out and i wouldn't be surprised at all.
Button would drive by the carnage and be like "see guys, i had it totally under control!"

Knowing Buttons luck, this is not outside the realms of possibility.

This one's for all the haters out there...

Sebastian VettelQ&A: Missing pole was my fault 13 Oct 2012

In the past when they have both started from the front row, there have been some pretty nail-biting situations between Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull team mate Mark Webber. But with two championships at stake, there’s no doubt team principal Christian Horner will be asking his drivers to play it cool when they head into Turn One in Korea on Sunday. We get Vettel's perspective…

Q: Sebastian, you look a bit annoyed…
Sebastian Vettel: Ha, is my face such an open book? (laughs) No, there is not the slightest trace of annoyance. It was probably a bit of misunderstanding on the team radio. I thought that Felipe (Massa) was pitting but I don’t believe that you can blame my lap time on Felipe or traffic in the last sector. It’s true, it was not an ideal situation but if someone has to take the blame then it is me because I think that pole position was within reach today. I probably lost it in the second sector - and that’s why it didn’t work out. Of course I am not entirely happy with that last lap, but it is going to be a long race with many uncertainties so everything is still possible.

Q: But is it not up to the team to tell you when you’re running in traffic?
SV: Well, we did talk about it on the out-lap, but my impression was that Felipe would pit - and he didn’t. I think that I misunderstood (race engineer) Rocky, but it’s no big deal. For sure Felipe did nothing wrong. I think lately we have had too many discussions about who was in the way of whom, so I want to make it clear that it was my mistake. I have to do it better next time.

Q: So the good news is that you are starting from the front row…
SV: …of course the aim was pole position, but qualifying is over so there’s no need to cry over spilt milk. Now we have to concentrate on tomorrow. The distance to the first corner is not too long and there are many straights, so there is room for position improvement.

Q: Fernando Alonso is right behind you, but he has just said that be believes he will be behind Kimi Raikkonen after the first corner. What do you expect from the start?
SV: Right now, nothing. (laughs) This evening we will try to find some improvements and try to understand where we lost out and then tomorrow we will concentrate on the start. Maybe I am seeing it a bit simplistically as I do not try to look into the future. One step at a time is my motto - and it has always served me well. If start to tell myself the things that might go wrong, then they might happen. Isn’t that what is called a self-fulfilling prophecy? I have never been into that.

Q: Who is the hot candidate for the win?
SV: Well, I think that the grid gives a good picture of who could win and finish on the podium. I think that McLaren was doing pretty well, even if Jenson (Button) didn’t make it into Q3, but then you never know. Everything should be possible with the right strategy.

Q: What will be key for the race?
SV: First of all to find the key. (laughs) We have had a good weekend so far without any major problems, but we are not entirely sure about the strategy and what to expect from the tyres. The situation can immediately change when the sun comes out and the track temperature goes up, so you cannot take anything for granted. So we will take it from when the lights go out tomorrow. It’s true that the first corner is important, but there is definitely more than one corner.

Q: Your team mate Mark Webber is on pole position. Do you expect him to help you out, or will it be an all-out fight with him?
SV: Both of us have to race trying to maximize our result and go from there. The important thing is that I am ready to attack - and eventually to win.

And to add to that:

Q: (Andrea Cremonesi - La Gazzetta dello Sport) Sebastian, coming back to the development; yesterday you had different bodywork than your teammate, why did you change, why did you come back (to the original)? And the second question is that in Italy they are saying that there was a red car in front of you on your last run; is that correct? Did you have a problem with that?
SV: I don't want to blame it on Felipe. I don't like all these discussions; we've had a lot of them lately. These things happen, it's not Felipe's fault at all. I should have known earlier. If anything it was my mistake. I might have lost a little bit but I'm not a fan of blaming anyone or anything for a certain result or not. I was happy with my qualifying, a little bit at the end. The first question was why... because it's faster, that's why I changed it.
