That's a fact and I'm dissappointed by a lot of things this year, but I don't justify Hamilton's decission by that, his future team gave Schumacher 5 mechanical dnfs until now, and a poor pace car.

Mclaren have made mistakes, but this is F1, it isn't easy, it's relative, and McLaren have managed second in the WCC for the past 2 years, and probably a third. So they can't be making that many.

They have made enough cos if it weren't for them Lewis would be leading the championship now in all probability and perhaps Button would be up there too if he didn't have that period of not being able to set up the car right....as for the relative performance of Red Bull, Ferrari and Mclaren next year? No one really knows until the first race next year how they all shape up against each other.

Of course, but these things are connected, perhaps if they had focused on reliability a bit more, they wouldn't have had such a fast car, I'm not saying Mclaren haven't made mistakes, I'm saying they have also done many things right, to the extent that only Redbull recently have been superior, and Hamilton isn't leaving for Redbull.

Thats an excellent point and it will be good to see how it goes. I have an open mind and think that in life sometimes the right partnership can just make a big difference....maybe merc and Lewis are the correct fit? we will have to wait and see.

yeah...the time was right for Lewis to leave so he took the best option available financially and potentially (2014 new engine regs) with performance in mind.

When asked by AUTOSPORT if his setup choice had led to the car's poor handling, Hamilton said: "It didn't actually.

"I know my car very well, so it's very rare that I get it wrong. And if I do it's only a little bit and I can still manage it.

"But this was the worst it has ever been set up, and I was really shocked that I had done that.

"I hoped it wasn't my fault, but fortunately the guys did a lot of analysis after the race and found our that we had a failure on part of the rear suspension, so that's comforting."

When quizzed on the exact nature of the problem, Hamilton added: "It's not a suspension failure, because I could still drive with it.

"There was just a part that helps the balance and when you set it up it should react in one way but it didn't do that.

"I'm happy that we found something, so it won't be a problem for this weekend."

Lol what a joke, their QC can't even get a suspension to work correctly through a race weekend.

Remember his talk with RB last year, Imo that was the first time he started searching for a new team.

Thats an excellent point and it will be good to see how it goes. I have an open mind and think that in life sometimes the right partnership can just make a big difference....maybe merc and Lewis are the correct fit? we will have to wait and see.

and that's the whole point, as a fan of the sport, you've got to be excited about the prospects.

And Lewis has had two gearbox failures, a weird thing in the back of his car, a wrong wing, not enough fuel, poor pit stops in one race alone accounting for over 10seconds. That's six before we even think about the bad strategies.

I Like if he goes to Mercedes he will never have issues, I can't wait for next year to see all you blaming Brawn for screwing up Hamiltons races, and the future 2013 Mercedes conspiracy thread.
