This is what I expected, Red Bull front-row, I wouldn't bet against Vettel for the win baring any mechanical failures. Shame that JB has the gearbox penalty, starts from eighth, still ahead of Hamilton though, Hamilton had a shocking session, just couldn't get the setup right, who's "No Grip" now? ;):hehe:

Hamilton made a setup mistake, he's admitted it was his chicken up which is fair enough....it's a different case from "I dont know I just dont have grip I have no grip no grip no grip!"....that's how the nickname was born, not just from being slow for 6 consecutive race weekends. :P

Personally, I think is Hamiltons biggest mistake this season and he'll pay the price heavily tomorrow. Ferrari don't seem too hot here and it was a great opportunity to at least finish behind the RBRs but the WDC is all but over for Lewis. I had a thought that signing for Merc would basically mean saying byebye to any chances this year anyway. If Hamilton ends up ahead of Alonso tomorrow it'd be a miracle.

Sauber (Kobayashi preferably) podium please!!:)

Natalie Pinkham: "What Happened", Kimi: "I spun"

:hehe:

That was the most boring Q i've seen.

Just as well i missed it then it seems. I think the race is gonna go the same, and i won't see that either... :(

Oh dear. It's clear how this race is going to unfold.

Listening to what Lewis Hamilton has said, while McLaren were a match for Red Bull in free practice, the team went the wrong way on set-up. This mistake could be the final nail in the coffin for the WCC, which looked VERY possible a few races ago, before these string of 1-car finishes occured.

Ahhh f*ck it, I'm just going to enjoy the racing from now on until the end of the season, although looking at the grid, tomorrow's race could be less than inspiring.

At least the F1 Pool will be easy.

Vettel was testing other things, and not driving on the limit. It was obvious.

I think that Vettel was on or near the limit, but in FP2 he set his fastest time on hard tyres, which was only 3 tenths off the fastest lap when everyone else was running on softs.

If practice is any indicator, then Vettel will be getting pole when on soft tyres!

:banghead:
Vettel fans will attack this thread all morning as well as this post
especially andrew.....and vlad
:whip::thumbdown:

Yep as I said

Have I? Vlad has hardly said anything either. In fact, you're probably the most prolific poster since the qualifying session.

Kimi's interview on sky;

what happened? : "I spun."

How about the impact of yellows had on the rest of the field? : "I don't care what happened to the others."
I would love to see him again in McL after the ''traitor''(just kidding) leaves

Right...and Kimi wasn't a traitor. He wasn't pushed either, just another superstar who got sick of McLarens screw ups and left. People have short memories.

Gotta love his attitude!

Hopefully Lotus makes a step forward next year and he can bag a couple wins.

Whats the point of sending lewis out on scrubbed tires!? if you want to save a set do what everyone else does and do one run

I think it would've been his decision as well. They have their reasons I guess, but I don't get it either.

Cause the scrubbed tyre run gives a backup time in case something happens on the last run. Otherwise there'd be no good time set and the driver would be in 10th. No big effect here but look at Alonso in Monza - could have easily gotten up at the front but cause he didn't set a proper time on his first run, when his car issue arose for the last run he was screwed and had to start 10th. So basically it's insurance against a yellow or red flag, or crash or whatever on the last run.

People don't always use it, it depends on the track and the likelihood of an issue such as a yellow flag or whatever.

Good to see Kobayashi and Hulkenburg getting themselves noticed, they are very good drivers I think who get overshadowed unfairly by their team-mates.

Risky call from Ferrari, and it didn't pay off, to only do one run in Q3 at the end, Kimi caused yellow flags. Podium still on for Alonso, but he's too far back from the Redbulls for anything other than third. Although Sauber might pull something off?

Ferrari need to get the upgrades working for the WDC, how Alonso is surviving so far is beyond me, he probably whispers to his car at the start of every race.

Looks like Williams have now been thoroughly out developed.

Grosjean is starting pretty high up,

People talk about his reputation, but once again, Schumacher on pace has out qualified Rosberg.

Might be a Redbull romp, but at least the race is early on Sunday, less waiting around.

McLaren can't seem to get a grip these days. Another drivers championship drifts away along with another constructors it seems.

A team of journeymen these days who don't want to win a championship. Strange.
