Possible. I'd have thought a slick lawyer may try and say their client isn't all there and felt pressured into confessing. It seems there is a forensic examination of his car so maybe they've got something from that?

How can he be charged with murder even though the body is missing?


He has only been arrested, not charged (I believe there's actually a difference in how this works between England/Wales and Scotland, but don't quote me on it), and it's on suspicion of murder (based on him supposedly being seen dumping something into the river), not murder. This is why there's all the fuss about how long they've kept him for, requesting additional time for questioning etc.

Edit: Actually, I'm not sure if there is a distinction. I don't know law anywhere near enough. :blush:

I doubt it. According to the London Evening Standard, he hasn't said anything at all under questioning so far. Very interesting... :scratchchin:
