I would LOVE to see Di Resta over at Ferrari next season but unfortunately can't see it happening. Luca di Montezemolo said that Perez wasn't ready for Ferrari yet, and seeing as he and Di Resta have the same amount of F1 experience then I don't know why he would bend his train of thought on the matter.

Massa to stay on for one more year I reckon. He has the experience and with his (slight) improvement in results of late then it seems he may still be in favour come 2013 season.

Keep in mind that all of this is said through gritted teeth and as a Di Resta fan I pray that he will be in a race winning car in the next 2 years. He has certainly got the talent!

I'm pretty sure there were reports that Kovaleinen's manager was spotted at Maranello.

I've been calling this one since the quarter-mark of this season.

I'm sure everyone would agree that Heikki's performances for Caterham deserve a return to the front.

What is so incredible about him? His pole at Brazil 2 years ago really did do wonders for his reputation! But he's been completely overshadowed by DiResta at FI.

I would love to see heikki going back to a good team, but as a di resta fan i can say i hope he moves up as he's starting to consistently battle with a few of the front runners, although the rumours are hulkenburg has already signed a contract with Ferrari regarding something else so they seem to like him.

The problem with Heikki in the past is that he turns up at a team showing some skill and then when his team mate beats him consistently his chin drops and he ends up like Massa. Look how he was as Alonso's team mate, and then Lewis' team mate. He bested Trulli and has surprised me against Petrov.

Maybe he has the skill of being able to drive a bad car fast and a fast car slow.

I just think Di Resta and the Hulk are so boring. (Im not denying they're good drivers) But they both bore me. Ferrari should take Kobi :P That would liven things up a bit.

I think Massa is pretty much there, maybe, at a huge stretch.....
IF SF dont announce before the Japan race that Felipe has the seat for 2013
AND IF Felipe really cocks up
AND IF Schumi has a great race
MAYBE there's an outside chance for him to get the 2nd seat for one year

He never went up against Alonso as Heikki's only year at Renault was 2007, and to be fair did reasonably well against Fisichella. At McLaren I thought he did ok, in 2008 he scored a few podiums and was in the right place at the right time to win in Hungary. 2009 was hard to tell since the McLaren was awful and Hamilton drove the wheels off it.

If Ferrari want an "experienced" driver he'd be a good shout

Yeah but you have to be an adult to drink it legally.

Well, that is exactly it, imo that pole showed a spark of brilliance that not many drivers have (ie when a driver pulls some wtf brilliant driving out the bag), and i don't think Di Resta has that (i think he is Heidfeld mk2). So i guess it comes down to potential.

Just heard something elsewhere. Basically i know a guy who knows a guy who works in F1 and seems to think Hulkenburg to Ferrari is a done deal... hardly official, but it seems that rumour is gaining speed...
