This always reminded me of an F1 car with pony tails. But I think it's something that would grow on us....to be honest I've not noticed any step noses for many races now but they are still there!

So if the V6 Turbo's are dropped I wonder which manufacturers will be attracted to F1?

Which was VW's preferred format? If I remember correctly it was the current engine format that they liked. So Ferrari, VW and Cosworth then.

I thought VW wanted V6 if not even V4?

I honestly can't remember. I was thinking they'd scrapped their F1 plans as they didn't like the prospect of V6 Turbo engines. I may be wrong though.

The V6 was in part introduced to lure VW into F1, so that when VW said no (again), it was even more of a surprise.
