Jenson Button will now lead the team to 20 titles in a row.

Unlikely given his age, but you know I'd love that... it would be ironic if next season, McLaren built a monster car and Jenson romped to a drivers title like Vettel did last season!

I can already see the posts, "He was lucky", "he only won because he had the best car" and "Lewis would have scored twice as many points in that car"

I'm Just Saying...

Careful because conversely you're also saying that he'd need a monster car to win. :hehe:

Maybe he does, we know he needs a stable car to be at his best; and if it is uber fast as well, so be it, Nigel Mansell didn't win until the monstrous 1992 Williams!

McLaren are more than capable of building a winning car. Button and Perez should make a nice pairing. Fingers crossed that the 2013 McLaren is a winner.

I am very excited about Perez in a McLaren, clearly he is insanely fast, getting two second and one third place finish plus a bunch of other top 10 finishes in what is a higher midfield car is pretty impressive, he shouldn't have any problems winning races next season if McLaren create a car like they have right now, with some added reliability of course, I believe Perez to be as good if not better than Hamilton (I'm sure that statement will cause some reaction ;) ), I think the combination of experience and youthful exuberance could be good for titles!

I agree with you. He's totally outperformed Kobayashi this season, and has worked wonders in what is essentially a firm midfield car.

I think the biggest benefit for Mclaren is that they can work on a car that should be reasonably suited for either driver. Problem with Lewis and Jenson has been that when the car is good for one, its not great for the other.

As for worrying about 20 championships in a row.. They dont need to. Lewis guided them to......

And I will be rooting for Mclaren if that's the case.

It's said that Jenson unfollowed Lewis on twitter and followed Perez instantly. But as I know he never followed Lewis. Why he never did so,though!?

Is it Jenson's turn to be under-fueled during Q3? That's when he'll know he's "arrived" at McLaren.
