Wasn't it said that he was looking to remove a lot more venues that are considered 'classic', such as Magny-Cours and Spa? If he takes Albert Park, Silverstone, Magny-Cours and Spa-Francorchamps away, then he's taking away some of the most famous circuits that are hosts to some of the most-viewed races. So even though he might get less from the venues to hold the events, he'd be getting more back from TV viewings than he would with others...

There was a time when I liked Bernie, but the more I watch what he does, the more that I come to feel that he doesn't care about the sport anymore. :(

Basically there not gonig to take any races out the claender, untill at 1 race there are only 4 spectators, but that wil never happen, Formula 1 is one of the biggest sports in the world!

Because they arn't obviously either Challening enough or aint givving Bernie enough Money
India are obviously gonna pay him off big time
all the Asian countries will pay Bernie big time so more British people can pay to go to there country so its more of a tourist attraction
i'm sure they wouldn't mind a Track in nottingham....Shame tho because all the yobo's would do a drive by to the drivers
its all about money, and Billionaires that want to either get themselves more reckognised!!
Like Force India
Kingfisher was somthing to do with 1 of his companies
and they used to sponsor Toyota
but they obivously jumped out of sponsering Toyota because he has his own team now

I think it's a power thing. He just like to remind everybody that he's pulling all the strings.

Yah Bernie is an ego maniac and like's to show he has all the power, it's evident in every pitlane interview.

no i mean't running round the town like Monaco Weheyyy :)
and yeah Spa is challenging but if they are gonna fork out lets make an estatimate of $200 Million a race right? but an Asian circuit, newly built can offer $500 million, whether all the fans love Spa and think its fantastic, Bernie dont care? he's like a cartoon character, Dollar Sign's jump in his eyes! and he jumps, thats a typical man for you, except we think with a brain downstairs ;) fortunatley his age caught up and he's now after more cash than woman

But you get my point?..went abit off topic my appoligies :) but Bernie is thinking more of how mig his bank statment can be rather than if we enjoy the sports and our overall views of the sport, i think all the old races that have been there for years should stay, all these new ones are boring and to complicated for my liking:( and i just think from a young age as i watched it you get used to a certain feel of a track? and then when i used to Watch E.I racing round in his Ferrari, and then you look 11 years down the line and them races can be gone just because an Asian country offers him more money?

I think Spa is one of the most challenging tracks out there. The only track that I can think of off the top of my head that is more challenging is the Nordschleife track, but modern F1 cars can't actually drive that properly. Nick Heidfeld did it in a BMW Sauber and said it was scary and demanding. But if Spa, Silverstone, Albert Park and Magny-Cours are dropped, I'll seriously consider dropping a lot of support for the sport... After all, those are some of my favourite tracks.

Maybe I'll watch GP2 instead... :/
