right as everyone seems to be on about Lewis will should/should not go to Mercedes. I thought we should have a thread about if we think teams will get better or worse next year.

I think Merc will improve as it will be the 1st year that the extra tech team will be in place. However I am sure they will not hit full flow until 2014

An other improver I think will be Marussia I think they will catch Caterham.

Ferrari and Mclaren are always there or there about.

Redbull, difficult one to guess.

Lotus, will maybe break into the top 3 depending on if one of the top 3 drop the ball.

Williams, will stay the same, I don't think they have the leadership from the drivers to improve the car.

History has shown no one can predict what team will emerge from winter hibernation with the leaps and bounds innovation that makes them dominate. Or whether any team will.
Coulthard retired right before his car turned out to be a winner after all. In an era of the manufacturers taking over the grid, and garagistes struggling and waning and withering, no one could have guessed what was to happen with the Red Bull. No one could have forseen the former Stewart then Jaguar car would be any different from what it was.
Similarly Brawn. Exact same story. Who knew? He developed a double diffuser and it was certainly better than a single diffuser, but even he didn't know what a difference it would make.
In my dream, Williams will do that for 2014.

Of course not every year brings us this kind of polar picture. 2012 sure didn't. Better spectacle anyhoo.

We can't predict who is going to win the next race, let alone what the teams will do next season... even pre-season testing seems to mean very little, come the first race, it's all different!

I really want to see Caterham finally make some noticeable progress, and I always dream about Williams being regular front-runners again...

Yeah them probably. But the brawn team by my understanding did a lot of testing and reworking all winter, post Honda. You're right, going by what I have heard, Honda had a very good car. They had 3 wind tunnels going at the same time, one in Japan, one in Englandshire, the other I don't know, they took the best piece from each windtunnel and made a perfect part. Then did that with every part. They probably didn't know how good their car was. But I don't think it was what it became before the sale. Whether it would have been so good under Honda is anyone's guess.
Regardless of whether it was Honda or Brawn, it's still the point I made.

I think this is very fair comment; no need for the flamesuit... no-one can deny this; this is generally accepted as fact!

Honda was Brawn - the name. The 2009 car was the 1st car designed since Ross Brawn took over as manager at the start of 2008, why i still feel it was suprising of the timing that Honda pulled out, had they stayed in - 2009 would have been a great season for them!

I doubt there will be to much change in teh current pecking order until 2014.

I think this is very fair comment; no need for the flamesuit... no-one can deny this; this is generally accepted as fact!

It is not so easily accepted by rabid foam mouthed MS sheep or some very biased Tifosi.
