I've just come back from a raving night out. We went to one of my favourite pubs in London, The Ten Bells. This is the pub from which Jack The Ripper procured his victims.

Last nıght I was smokıng a bong(water pıpe) and drınkıng red wıne ın a lovely bar ın Istanbul sıttıng on those bıg cushıons on the floor. All wonderful untıl someon half tıpped the bong over and the hot coals came out on me. Bıg hole ın dress!!

Ive been over to the Asıan sıde, to the bıg Sultan's palace on the Bosphorousç agaın to haggıa Sophıa and of course shoppıng. I adore the lamps and lıghts here. Before that we were ın the south by the sea near Altınkum and also went over to Samos and Patmos(the Greek Islands). We leave for the aırport ın about half an hour Love your country Elffınıty!!!

ı and i in Turkish keyboard is always a big problem for the ones from different countries Those places in Istanbul are so beautiful,good that you went those On Bosphrus bridge they put lights so it looks even better!South part is also beautiful but I haven't been to Altınkum,however heard about it a lot.Good to hear that you enjoyed

I agree mate. However if you said to me 1 person you have met is a kiddie fiddler he would of been near the bottom of the list. I am just amazed

You don't know anyone really that you met after grade school and that you haven't spent countless upon countless hours with. I always laugh when you see snippets in the news where they interview the neighbor of an accused serial killer and they say he seemed nice, kept to himself didn't cause trouble.

Pedophilia is a sexual disorder, and as sickening as it is, it's still something that a person does because they cannot help themselves. So often they'll get a job where you're going to have easy access to children, schools, boy scouts, church etc. In a way you'd like to rehabilitate someone like that and perhaps have a means to, but I think that rehabilitation is something that may not be possible since I do believe there's a genetic component to it, but that's not the entire picture, often child abusers were molested themselves as children.

It's a seedy aspect of humanity but even the most hardened criminals, murderers in jail see pedophiles as the worst criminal there is.

It's always the ones you least expect

when I moved into my current house the old guy who lived opposite was one of the few who welcomed me to the area and would always stop for a chat if he saw me while out walking his dog
I thought he was a nice old bloke who seemed like he would do anything for anyone he was also a lollipop man
turns out he was also a peado he got caught taking pictures of one of the neighbours little girls naked in the paddling pool over his garden fence !
when the police came they found everything else

Appearances are deceptive; anyone can put up a front to hide their true personality.

Well said WB. Yes, the consequences of paedophilia are nasty, especially for the child, but there's no doubting that it is a psychological / sexual disorder. Can you even begin to imagine if you were in their shoes, and possessed such feelings? Just IMAGINE what an incredibly unhappy and lonely existence you'd lead. I bet most of them hate themselves for it.

It's a very sad situation, and while hostility towards such a person is understandable, I often pause to think about the other side of the story too.
