Useless McLaren again today. Lewis now has even more reason to leave, given the fact they can't build a car that actually works consistantly in 2012.
A waste of time imo. Lewis should leave.

Life's too short to waste hanging around teams like this. Not winning the constructors championship in many years and only winning the 2008 drivers because Lewis was better than the car tells us all we need to know.

McLaren should try making washing machines, as building an F1 cars over the past decade has not been a great success.

Absolutely. People bleat about 'why leave a team with fast cars every year', well I rather go with a slower team which has the potential to achieve massively in the future than stick around with a failed concept. McLaren are turning into Liverpool...glorifying past achievements when they have achieved so little in the past 13 years.

In defence of McLaren, they clearly have the fastest car at the moment, and they've won more races than anyone else this season. Misfortune has been the name of the game though, and they've been hampered massively in terms of points. Take the last few races for example. Rule out the carnage at Spa, Button's failure at Monza and today's failure, then the team would be more or less level with RBR.

I understand what you say about Mercedes, and it'll be interesting to see how they cope in years to come, if they stick around. I have my doubts.

Maybe a change will do both Lewis and McLaren good. All this is clearly wearing everyone down.

They had the fastest car also in:

2000
2005
2007

And this year. This is the 4th Championship they are simply throwing away. It's a team that knows how to win everything except Championships.

Whoa whoa whoa now stop all that Mclaren hate.

They put one car on P2 and another on pole.

They all decided to go on the aggressive / to the edge strategy, and it didnt pay. Lewis almost hit the wall, and who knows if he hit something hard when he hopped on the kerbs on Q.

Complete conjecture on your part. I like it. Like me saying Vettel has been unable to manage his ride and is burning out alternators resulting in his two DNFs.

After the race Whitmarsh mentioned it was possibly something to do with the diff' rather than the gearbox itself. Maybe you're theory has something if it is to do with the diff' but no one will know for sure until McLaren confirm anything.

Of course its conjecture, but none less than all the BS written above.

Of all the BS I've seen in this entire thread (and its a huge thread) you take the prize for BS King. It's not exactly a compliment, so maybe you need to re-evaluate your so-called 'reasoning'. Nothing personal btw.

There's conjecture on all parts and there will be until the team confirms the cause of the fault.

it was an electrical problem. No "e-shift." the same kind of problem that has been hitting cars in Singapore in past years.

Anyway, here is one of the many ladies that visited Lewis on the night.
