Im hopıng so. Hamıton wıll never be fully supported at Mclaren whıle Whıtmarsh ıs there. And ıf he ıs leavıng he'd be a fool to announce ıt now whıle he stıll has a shot at the champıonshıp,he'd receıve even less support.

Any links to this interview? I tried scouring youtube but no luck.

I saw it live on Sky Sports F1; these principles press conferences are pretty hard to come by online.

Basically Whitmarsh kept saying "we are concentrating on this weekend/season" when asked about Hamilton's rumoured move to Mercedes.

Sorry, but no.

Mclaren treat their drivers EQUALLY. And even if they didn't, it shouldn't affect their performance. Otherwise, all the crap that has been said before is meaningless. Dismissed as Bullsh!+. And we wouldn't want that.

This site reported McLaren are building 2013's car around LH?

Yeah. Or to be specific they are building it based on the current lineup staying, which basically still means Hamilton has input into the car and stuff. A far cry from being completely frozen out with no support.

Precisely. The whole LH has no support doesn't stand up, it is total garbage.

I think if I was Hamilton at the moment I would move to Mercedes. I think they will be the next team to break into the top, al la Benetton/Renault/Brawn/Redbull

They have technically built a decent team which will have gelled this year, and come 2014 will be the team to beat. Merc are going to be all over the engine regs like a tramp on chips. Brawn is already going to have worked out all the loop holes.

Lewis to Merc and will be champ WDC and WCC in 2014.
