If it is, as a board member for Samsung, I'd be pissed. How much did it cost them to count it in the first place?

Frankly I don't think it's true... how the F@ck would they round up a billion dollars in nickles in the first place and then spend an extra few million for the logistics of the prank?

No its not true. There are only over 21 billon 5cent coins in circulation in the US.

but man, it would be the best stunt of all time!

The new iPhone 5 revealed today with the Foo Fighters as special guests at the keynote (check out apple.com).
New phone looks cool, sleek and schmexy - I might break down and fork over the necessary cash...
WB - any input from testing it yet? I'll be waiting for the first user reports anyway, but if you have some thoughts to share already?

There is nothing new that is enough to make me leave the Android or HTC stable. I think Apple are really missing the input from Steve jobs.

Yeah but it has class unlike the Samsung.

A classy device from a classless company! Any company that uses litigation as a competitive tool lacks any class in my view.

Nothing but they don't sing and shout like apple do when they bring out a new phone, say how amazing it is and really it is just a slight update on there old phone.

The thing is that I don't dislike Apple products, I am writing this on an iPad infact, I just don't like Apple as a company because they use litigation to compete in the marketplace and are very two faced, Steve Jobs commented back in the 90s about how Apple have no qualms about stealing other company's ideas to gain an advantage. All this has been very well documented.

Every company uses litigation. Google bought Motorola so they would own Motorola's patents. There are tech companies that all they do is litigate based on their patents. So it's unfair to single out Apple in that.

The reason I don't like apple is for their duplicity, for the fact that their fan base is the very demographic that would be most against their business practice. And most look the other way when news of Foxcomm slave camps is front page. Apple is supposedly sitting on a trillion dollars of uninvested money. Most look the other way when Apple could do what RIM (keeping their jobs in Canada) does and not just design in the USA but manufacture in the USA adding hundreds of thousands of jobs to the national economy, all to save a reportedly 19 dollars per iPhone.

But Apple products, the genius is going beyond the norm of consumer electronics and they give folks what they crave. A straight forward VIP user experience, from the moment they open the box an appeal to visual design and a philosophy that IT MUST WORK and it must be simple. That's why there's lines around the block every time a new iPhone is released.

I'm amazed how you guys can sling mud at Apple for not innovating but yet there isn't a single innovation that you can point to that's been put forward by a Samsung/HTC product. In the last few years anyway. Devices are homogenous and the upgrades are simply incremental hardware upgrades and there is zero visual interest between devices.

There's a reason why people line up to buy Apple products. love them or hate them.

If you want innovation, and a fantastic user experience, Nintendo is the way to go.

No disagreement there. If Nintendo made a phone, you could use it for a week with a single battery charge, and you'd be able to throw it against a wall mid call, and pick it up and continue the phone call as if nothing happened. :hehe:

You'd have to blow it first though :hehe:

My childhood N64 still works perfectly (after of course, general usage), the games load up instantly, gameboy still works too, I think, but I've taken out and reused the batteries.
