Finally.........

Wow... Jaws was 100 years ago already? I didn't think it was that old.

A slightly unfortunate graphical snafu, but they correct themselves in the right bottom corner.

Maybe the idea was to not have to pay a graphic designer again when they re release it in 2075?

Napoleon Dynamite is a great film...

No it's not, it's truly one of the worst films I have ever watched. In fact it pained me so much to endure this film that I couldn't even watch the entire thing. Truly one of the worst things ever to be labelled as a film ever.

Not much more to add there.....

for once I agree whole heartedly with andrew. It is almost as bad as Bruno (the film not the driver)

Well, even Maldonaldo's not as bad as Bruno (the driver) so let's not make those comparisons. :P (I haven't actually seen Bruno)

As a comedy it's not that funny, but as a drama it layers its world and makes its point. It's about a lonely, social misfit making friends and being pissed off with the world.

Film4 are on the up though, I got to see the X-files a few weeks ago, Aliens slightly more recently and district 9 last Saturday. On the downside, the gush continues with showings of bandslam and failure to launch.

Doh! so that's the reason it's taken so long for this to be released. So in HD it looks even more like a big rubber shark, still beats the hell out of the CG sharks in Deep blue sea.

District 9 was a good film

I don't understand the hype about it...but it managed to disgust me quite a bit. Some parts reminded me of 'The fly'...and I remember how sickened I was watching that as a kid.

it was a twist on the aliens come to earth but instead of to destroy us, but to ask for help. You had to have a way for the star of the film to connect with the aliens, to realise that they where not just numbers on a sheet as he first thought.

Much the same as Gran Turino did.

I liked Hishe's take on it though.

Anyone looking forward to Cloud Atlas? I'm going to go see it this weekend but I'm afraid it will turn out to be a big circle jerk a la Inception.

Inception is a great movie, IMO. You should see it 2 times at least, to understand it totally. This one also seems great. You can't make an epic movie without Hugo Weaving. :)

See I fell off the inception wagon. It wasn't as if the movie didn't deliver, I felt as though it just didn't deliver for me. At the end, I couldn't have given a crap as to whether the top stayed going or dropped and that summarized the entire feeling of the movie for me. And yeah, I did see it twice and although I understood the events more it just confirmed the same feeling the second time around.

I want this one to work though.

Agree with you on the Inception part, but not the Weaving part....the Batman franchise did fine without him.
