Good to see Alonso is not really Mr Perfect as the commentators think.

And this is the only track where Button gets so close to Lewis in equal equipment...since there aren't many corners where skills are required. :P

I'd beg to differ with you on the cornering skills needed at Monza. Agreed there aren't that many corners here, but, in many ways, it is the most challenging corners drivers face all year. That's why you see so many mistakes on what appear to be simple corners. The reason is that teams completely dial down the down-force. That means at Monza, cars are far less stable cornering that at any other track. Couple that with the very high speeds which put great loads into the tires as drivers brake and, you will find that drivers will find the parabolica harder to master than say Eau Rouge.

I'm curious why maldonado bothered spending the tires on qualifying with his double ten spot grid penalty tomorrow :confused: Unless he was just doing it for essentially more practice. Maybe we'll see some fun stuff from him tomorrow with fresh tires

I'll throw a red bull label on this here bottle of jim beam I have left over from last week's gp :twisted:

LOOOOL! :rofl::rofl::rofl: Gotta join you once, haha!

Perhaps the stars will align one day and we shall!

And when they do, will it be like this? :hehe:

I would agree. Not that the f1 games are anything close to what the drivers go through, but that first chicane in monza can be a real :censored: to get right on the video game :eek:

Roll bar can be replaced with no penalty though right? Don't have the time to look through the rules myself... still, useful for McLaren, cause they really have it easy tomorrow now. Massa won't challenge them and by the time anyone else gets into a position where they can chase the McLaren's, they'll be long gone. Ferrari indeed made a strategic error today, the risk backfired.

Nice qualifying from Vettel, btw, although Red Bull risk being sitting ducks on the straights tomorrow.

Raikkonen, not the best position but seems to have good race pace in the car, and was the quickest in the speed trap. So hoping he can make progress for another good points haul.

Yep, you can replace broken parts in parc ferme but only with same parts configured same way.

Don't completely write off Felipe and the F2012, yes, McLaren have a well earned front row lock out, but, the F2012 is consistently fast off the line and its KERS kicks in a little earlier than others - perhaps Fernando can make up 2 or 3 places at the start. One other thing in favour of the F2012, it is at its very best when under heavy fuel load.

Should be a good race and it will be interesting to see the Lewis V Jenson tactics.

I expect this to be a McLaren domination. Luckily it's only the BBC lowlights I'll be watching so I can choose whether to watch the race or not.

Lowlights, hahahaha! :rofl::rofl::rofl:
