That sure would be a curveball. I guess the next question is who would get that McLaren seat? I would love to see Hulkenberg in a top car...

DiResta? He already has management links with button?

He does? I thought he was managed by Hamilton's Dad. Don't really rate Di Resta personally anyway, he's very good but more a Mr. Consistent Heidfeld type. I think Hulkenburg has just that little extra that makes the difference at the top. Just my opinion though!

It would be brilliant for the most successful driver in F1 history to have his last season where he had all the success

What? His back to back titles with Benetton are chopped liver or what?

[What's Burning?]

There's incredibly little room at the top. A resource of up coming talent that may never see the cockpit of an F1 car outside of a young driver test day. It's a shame, but it's the business the way it's been structured. Only way to get more faces would be to have teams that would qualify just to make the grid on Sunday but it's too expensive for teams to come into the sport in that environment.

Oh well, not for me to resolve.

[Jabberwocky]

how would you cure the problem? more testing?

Three cars?

Sorry, bad writing on my part, I should have put the majority of his success came at Ferrari

Di Resta and Anthony hamilton have split and are in legal dispute. Jenson and his team are managing Paul. Convenient eh!

Interesting. I heard about the split with Anthony Hamilton, but didn't know about the latter.

Oh right. Convenient for Di Resta if it gets him a better drive, of course

Of course and convenient for Button to have a driver he manages in the team with him instead of the fastest driver on the grid.

Button runs McLaren now and dictates driver lineups then.

Appears to be some crossed wires here. Richard Goddard, Button's manager, is merely offering advice until Di Resta finds a new manager. So Di Resta isn't managed by Button in any real or practical sense.

Anyway nothing is done yet, so let's see. This may be all part of the dance to get better deals...

I hope that Hamilton does depart from McLaren so we can dispense with all these silly accusations about Button and McLaren disadvantaging Hamilton...

It'll just be Rosberg as the target instead, sadly. Imagine how it would have kicked off if he was at Mercedes this season, looking at the way their form has gone!

[vaptin]

Imagine it Hamilton gets paired with Schumacher.

You're assuming that Hamilton wouldn't be winning in that car.
