Hoping if Hamilton goes to Merc and Ferrari do have a contract for Vettel in 2014, that Schumacher could go to Ferrari for one final season, announcing it early of course. It would be brilliant for the most successful driver in F1 history to have his last season where he had all the success, and imo if the Ferrari is good enough, he could still win a race or two (let's be honest, he'll be a lot closer to Alonso than Massa was!).

If Lewis goes to Mercedes, I'd expect Di Resta to get the nod at McLaren.

di Resta is closely linked with Merc already. I'd say there was more chance of him going to Merc than Hamilton due to the existing relationship.

I think Kovaleinen is the darkest horse in the silly season. He is out of contract, and other teams have noticed. I expect him to jump straight into Ferrari or Mclaren next year, depending on Hamilton's movements.

Hamilton to Ferrari on a 1-year contract, Kovaleinen to McLaren. In 2014, Hamilton would go to Mercedes, and Vettel would take up his pre-contract agreement with Ferrari... How does that sound?

Well now it seems quite certain.

It would be a step down moving to Mercedes.

Although if I was Lewis I wouldn't be thinking about staying with McLaren at the moment.

He's not going to get a better offer than McLaren. He'd be even more stupid than previously thought if he left them. Leaving McLaren would be even more stupid than posting restriced information on Twitter.

I think that a move to Mercedes would be a backwards move for Hamilton, Mercedes have been disappointing, three seasons with one win and very few podiums and the political system won't be much different' I can't see Hamilton being made clear #1 at Mercedes unless Rosberg exits the Brackley based team and someone like di Resta becomes Hamilton's wingman.
