In my opinion if there were too many points for qualifying, it would dilute the races.

But I think that F1 could easily follow the example of other series, and give a single point each for pole and fastest race lap.

No, I like the race being all important and qualifying simply being to setup the positions for the race.

*IF* there was, I'd say no more than simply one point for pole. More of a symbolic thing. There's already enough incentive in racing to get pole, and that's simply to stay out of first turn carnage. The race is on Sunday and that's how it should stay.

I think a single point would be pretty good, and yes I was just about to say I'd there was a point for fastest lap, Perez would have about 10 more points
