Mclaren will issue team orders when they need to and benefit them. Just as they always have.

Well they're legal now. We know team orders were always there, it's just that Ferrari used them so eloquently they were fined the equivalent cost of breakfast for the team on Friday practice.

I guess team orders aren't too relevant this season, as the drivers are all racing several other drivers, so having the second driver high up is more beneficial than usual, as they're taking a spot from one of the other rivals, rather than all the attention being to outdo a particular rival driver.

But I think Lotus would've benefited from a number 1 number 2 driver system this year.
